Me

Posted on 11/05/2013 5:01:54 AM PST by Bulwinkle

Fairfax,Woodson highschool: at 7am I was voter #109, that's LOW! For the last 18 year I have voted at same time to get a feel for turnout. I'm in a Heavy Dem area.... So there is hope!

I just hope the libs are over confident.

I don't know if over-confidence is the issue or if they're just not excited about McAuffle. I mean, they hate Cuccinelli, but is that enough reason to go out and vote for an unlikeable slimeball like McAuffle? We'll see.

Seems to be heavy, steady, at the coalfield rd, Midlothian station where I voted at 8AM...men about 2/3rds...women about 1/3rd. We use a scanned ballot here so I don’t know what number I was...about 5 minutes wait to get checked in and about 3 minutes before I could get to the marking station. There were about 8 set up(all full) and I saw 4 extras that could be deployed if necessary. Ballot went straight in...no issues. Just wish they would set these machines up to spit out a paper receipt.

Very light turnout in my heavily Dem precinct.

*************

I personally think that is why some of the big name Democrats were in the state.

Huh? Because I fortunately no longer live in liberal Va.? Sorry Charlie, I have NEVER voted for a Democrat. I lived in Va. for 30 years and saw it going more and more liberal so I finally decided to leave. That somehow equates in your small mind as making me a democrat voter. Pitiful. My wish to vote in the election, which I clearly stated, would be to vote against McAuliffe, and for Cuccinelli.

That’s good to hear of heavy turnout in Midlothian. That is a conservative area.

I voted at 8:00 in Virginia Beach, no lines. I was 30th user of that machine.

You missed the quotation marks around the "you". If you checked with your old precinct to see if your name was still registered and voting, you might be surprised - it's one of the sources of Dem vote fraud, keeping "phantoms" on the voter rolls.

“Did you happen to notice? Were the voters mostly male or mostly female — or represented in about equal numbers? How about the age of voters?”

Mostly males, all?? but there were only 6 voters there at the time I was at check in... me and two other at the 3 check in stations and 3 voters filling out ballots

Drudge has a story up about voting machines malfunctioning in Loudon, which is a swing county.

Interesting the "malfunctions" inevitably seem to occur in "swing" or liberal counties. Here in the supposed backwater of Gloucester County, things run quite smoothly. We have the choice of touchscreen or paper ballot... the paper ballot allows you to draw a connecting line between your desired candidate's name and a point to the right. You hand the ID verification receipt to the processor, then he/she observes you slide the ballot into the reader. That is a good system. I've never been a fan of touchscreens... way too much possibility of the slightest malfunction effing up the works for everyone.

BTW, your remark is pretty amusing coming from someone that makes the following statement on their personal page:

The worst intellectual mistake a person can make is to assume that someone who disagrees with him is either ignorant or mentally deficient. It is a lazy form of argumentation and it smacks of hubris, i.e., an attitude of "my opinion is the only one that matters." If he is unwilling to even consider the fact that the opposition may have legitimate reasons for coming to different conclusions, then he best ask himself who the closed-minded bigot is in the situation.

Hoisted by your own petard.

So turnout or lack of it plus the libertarian vote determines the results. Got a feeling that is going to be the standard of all future elections

In a state such as Virginia which, like America, is being overrun with liberal consituencies, those elements come into play. Like it or not, low turnout is our hope.

Unless this is a landslide — the Communists are NOT going to let this race go. They have a key apparatchik and they know it will be viewed as a referendum on ObamaCare.

Neither am I. Too much back-end opportunity for shenanigans.

Then I stand corrected, and offer my sincere apologies. Perhaps I will check with the voting rolls in Virginia to make sure that is not happening in my name. Thanks for the reminding me of that possibility.

Read #49 - you are completely missing and misconstruing my point. Short version - while you may no longer live in Virginia, don’t be surprised if the Dem fraud machine is still using your name to create a phantom vote in your former precinct.

No problem. One of the hard things about communicating via text only is the ability to properly convey the emotional tone that indicates sarcasm or satire.

Oh the other hand, remember how Franken’s made it over the top in MN when poll workers just happened to find more paper ballots in the trunk of a car....
I use the touch screen, Soros-made machine....

Is Jesse Jackson driving the bus from the welfare office to the local precinct?
