Yes, its true. The pleasant-looking, smiling woman who fronted healthcare.gov for the better part of four weeks has gone missing. And who can blame her?
We thought maybe she emigrated to the Spanish-language site, but no. Her photo has been replaced by cute circular icons encouraging consumers to apply for Obamacare by mail, over the phone, or in person. The problem is, those applications reportedly wont get processed until the website is fixed:
With the supposedly state-of-the-art $600 million HealthCare.gov portal malfunctioning, President Barack Obama is urging Americans to go ahead and try to get health coverage by mailing in a paper application, calling the helpline or seeking help from one of the trained assisters.
But the truth is those applications on paper or by phone have to get entered into the same lousy website that is causing the problems in the first place. And the people processing the paper and calls dont have any cyber secret passage to duck around that. They too have to deal with all the frustrations of HealthCare.gov full-time.

Those are some nasty looking gums
I’ll tell you one thing: she looks healthy.
You forgot to include all of those people whose insurance has been cancelled thanks to Obamacare who now need to go buy new insurance.
The teeth make him look scary.
Clearly not British.
Of course she looks Healthy, that’s the “before” picture.
Don’t buy the propaganda! Volumes are not the problem. Interfaces are the problem. Poor design, incomplete coding, and inadequate testing are the problem. As even the Congressional Dems have pointed out, Amazon does not crash the week before Christmas nor ProFlowers on Valentine’s Day in spite of tremendous volume.
When the feds finally get these paper applications, they still have to put them into the computer.
So how’s that gonna work?
Looks like for supplement quotes they passed off to Kaiser estimator. LOL
There’s never been a screw-up of this magnitude in any previous administration, or any previous generation, or any previous century. This is the most spectacular failure of leadership and management in the history of mankind.
Not only were they unable to create a fairly simple web site which required technology that is at least 10 years old, and not only could no national leader explain what happened...specifically... that caused this failure...there isn’t a single person in the administration who CAN EVEN NAME the person who was in charge of this screw-up.
The single most basic premise of project management is, “WHO THE HELL IS IN CHARGE.” It’s bad to fail. But not even being professional enough to know who was responsible for the success and/or failure of the web site design and stand-up is an unimaginable failure of leadership.
C'mon, we all know who would've been responsible for a success...had there been one.
This happens in every post-baby-boom Democrat administration. Remember Craig Livingstone?
