Yes, its true. The pleasant-looking, smiling woman who fronted healthcare.gov for the better part of four weeks has gone missing. And who can blame her?
We thought maybe she emigrated to the Spanish-language site, but no. Her photo has been replaced by cute circular icons encouraging consumers to apply for Obamacare by mail, over the phone, or in person. The problem is, those applications reportedly wont get processed until the website is fixed:
With the supposedly state-of-the-art $600 million HealthCare.gov portal malfunctioning, President Barack Obama is urging Americans to go ahead and try to get health coverage by mailing in a paper application, calling the helpline or seeking help from one of the trained assisters.
But the truth is those applications on paper or by phone have to get entered into the same lousy website that is causing the problems in the first place. And the people processing the paper and calls dont have any cyber secret passage to duck around that. They too have to deal with all the frustrations of HealthCare.gov full-time.

ela es muy calente.
A person can dream.
If a screw-up of this magnitude had happened under a Republican administration, every single committee and subcommittee chairman - from both houses of Congress - would be rushing to the MSM cameras to announce hearings to begin tomorrow morning.
When it came out that adult members of the First Family were on the payroll of the web site contractors, subpoenas and indictments would be flying in every direction.
Chris Matthews, Piers Morgan, Ed Shultz, Rachel Maddow, and countless others would be demanding a special prosecutor.
Yes! Dreams are all we have left.
Where is Obama’s Information Tsar?
note the quaint headline on this insurance site page....

She is the embodiment of the Julia character on Obama’s 2012 campaign website.
She’s in the witness protection program.
symbolic (subconsciously) of the initial obama election icons and most all of the other gov sites have transferred to similar designs so that memories of the POS will never disappear...
The site needs a “hot mess” button.
After she tried applying for insurance she was no longer smiling and had aged considerably.
I wondered is she were actually an 0bot who put herself out there for the inevitable ridicule, or a hapless face from a stock photo.
If the latter, imagine her surprise (and horror). If she were a stock photo chick *and* an 0bot, then well... lol.
With any luck she’s a resident/citizen of another country and has no clue about her “fame”. And that would also explain her smile, her not being an American subject to 0bamacare in the first place.
I wonder why people even go to the website. It only effects people who are uninsured and may be people whose company may end health care soon. If people who don’t need it stay off the site, it might work. I have not ever been to the site and never intend too.
Is esurance.com still up? It worked well when I went to buy insurance for my son a couple of years ago.
The face of failure.
