It’s unfortunate, but it’s true. Butter/sugar...unbeatable combo!

In fact that is what mom would use as icing. Butter and some powdered sugar....or butter and some honey. The butter and honey was MY favorite!

Alas, haven’t had the cooked shredded wheat in years. Can’t afford it! It would blow my calorie count and other counts to smithereens!

At Granny’s we used to take sorghum molasses and combine it with a bit of butter, and layer it on homemade bread slices and wash it down with fresh milk. It was great.

I don’t have that much anymore either. Too much carbs and fat.
