Okay, guys.
Today was a bad day for us. No getting around the facts. It was the biggest gutting since the Kenyan scored a second term.
In New Jersey, a senate seat that looked possible went to Corey Booker by about 10 points. Regards to Steve Lonegan. Excellent man who did better than he had any right to. He worked tirelessly against all the odds. Props too to Levin, Palin, and Rand Paul for campaigning on his behalf. Krispy was absent yet again.
This loss is hugely overshadowed by the complete collapse of the GOP in Washington. It was a rout. A surrender of epic proportions. Obama called the GOP's bluff and he played it the Chicago way, demonize and then demonize some more. I think we all owe a huge debt of gratitude to our guys who fought and fought against tremendous pressure until it was clear we had lost. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee principally, and those who had the courage to vote with them in the senate. Paul, Rubio, Risch, Scott, Crapo. Fischer sold out in the end, God knows why. Cornyn, you are not fooling ANYBODY. PERIOD......... I'd also give my best to Inhofe, who is recovering from surgery. He's a good soldier. The display of betrayal here on Freerepublic against Cruz after he declined to whistle past the graveyard was shameful, and whoever the idiot was who was leading that charge should be banned. Cruz is the most loyal man in the senate, and the best senator we've had in decades.
I also praise patriots in the House. Steve King, Paul Broun, Louie Gohmert, and many others. They gave Boehner the spine for the weeks we held out.
I have nothing but absolute condemnation and CONTEMPT for three groups who stabbed us in the back. This was not only an epic surrender, but it capped off an epic betrayal, a modern day night of the long knives.
1) Pundits. Krauthammer, Karl Rove, all of the traitors who pretend to be conservative. I have HAD IT with these bastards. They aided the Democrat media from square 1.
2) House RINOS. Peter King is an enemy of the state. His vile attacks on Ted Cruz warrant a censure. His entire cabal needs tough primary challengers in 2014. Schock, Riggel, all of them. Get these bums out!
3) Senate RINOS. I hold these a&&holes more responsible than anyone for this catastrophe. Bob Corker, John McShame, Linda Gayham, Kelly Ayotte. This is THEIR LAW! I am all in to support Graham, Cochran, and Alexander's primary opponents. 2014 is the time to break records for unseating incumbents in primaries. REMEMBER their treachery.
Now, I save this special section for last, because there is one particular senate RAT who I blame more than any other. As vile and maggot-filled as John McCain is, he barely pretends to be a Republican anymore. No, the real architect behind this entire disaster result. None other than Mighty Mouse B*tch McConnell. This HACK has been around for decades as a man behind the curtain, manipulating the RINO herd to his (the Democrat's) liking. He engineered the sabotage of Cruz and others. He even betrayed Boehner to some degree, all for a big Kentucky kickback package as we have learned. As awful as Boehner is, McConnell is WORSE. HE... MUST... GO! Matt Bevin deserves all the support we can give him.
With all this said, come on guys. It's time to pick yourselves up, dust yourselves off, and get ready for the next fight. You don't get a bloody nose and a knife in the back, then go home. You put on the brass knuckles and say "was that it?" Obamacare is a disaster. The economy is a disaster. Our foreign policy is a disaster. We're not done fighting this punk Obama yet.
The GOPe may surrender like the French, but we sure as hell don't!
Nope, not McConnell.
There are a number of Senators who obstruct the House Republican Caucus by supporting the most liberal members.
They are our true problem.
Though McConnell is no prize...
Yeah dust off and get ready for January. “January is another day!”
You can run for President as a Senator. Her reliable vote would be welcomed.
How?
And be accused of quitting again? Not on your life.
ABOUT HEALTHCARE.
As long as you operate from the premise that the government has ANY business getting involved in health care, as long as you operate from the premise that people have some RIGHT to make other people provide them with health care, you are part of the problem.
As long as you believe that health care is anything other than a service provided by PRIVATE individuals, and provided FOR profit, YOU are contributing to the destruction of our collective freedom.
Private, free market competition is what created the greatest health care system in the world. Believing that it is a RIGHT that should somehow be guaranteed and provided by the government, is what is destroying it, and every single freedom we have right along with it.
Roger that, Rage cat.
I would recommend we get together and all agree on some sort of base tax on imports.
The tax would only be charged on imports.
Nothing made in America would be taxed. At all. Not one penny.
But all imports, would pay a tax. An IMPORT tax.
That tax would accomplish two things: First off, it would help our government get its financial act together.
And it would encourage companies to bring back jobs to America.
Americans making money, would improve our economy.
It is time.
Are you series?
>> I don’t know which path we should take.
Vote out the RINOs.
I’m completely series!
America needs to make things.
Lots of things. Bring back American businesses.
Too bad we don’t have a STAR CHAMBER for the press.
Hear, hear! UDAMAN!!
Well, thanks for voicing your idea for a solution. It's the right step to get people talking about the fix instead of the problem.
That said, it's a punitive solution that would prompt a similar punishment on exported American goods by foreign countries.
That's a lose-lose situation for all concerned. If U.S. exports drop off because of punitive tariffs imposed by other countries, it follows that manufacturers will have to downsize their domestic production because of it - and there go the jobs you were trying to save.
I think a better plan is to reduce U.S. federal taxation on domestic manufacturers. Significantly. A carrot versus a stick approach - you know? Reward business for keeping jobs here by lowering their operating costs and returning more to their bottom line.
If there are more people working, more dollars will flow to the feds through income taxes. It actually works better than raising taxes on the productive sector, which just causes them to contract and look for ways to shelter their money. Such as sending jobs overseas...
It remains to be seen, if there is resolve or capitulation among the congresscritters left by this mess.
This is like Groundhog Day.
This: "I understand a whole bunch of you were all wild-eyed and determined to sink Obamacare, but that wasnt going to happen, partly because there are some of us who support it." is what I was incredulous about, specifically that part in italics.
Health care is too expensive? It's getting more expensive under Obamacare.
Do the names Fordney/McCumber and Smoot/Hawley mean anything to you? How did that work out for us?
Was anyone surprised? I sure as hell wasn’t.
There will be no gridlock. Republicans cave all the time. They might as well call themselves Democrats.
The jobs will not come back. Americans are lazy and demand too much money for doing nothing. They would rather get “free” things from the government.
Face it Obama is a dictator will rule until he dies.
not healthcare
not the economy
not the environment
just the government of idiots driving us into slavery
Anyone that thinks stopping the tyranny we are growing comfortable with via politics and elections is delusional. Stop being stuck on stupid - and realize you’re infected with Normacly Bias.
McConnell and the Ruling Class essentially just granted Obama Dictatorial status and surrendered their own Constitutionally proscribed powers to the Executive tyrant and his regime in the White House.
The ONLY way to put an end to the tyranny coming out of D.C. is going to have to come from OUTSIDE the system and beyond the institutions and systems the Ruling Class have corrupted for themselves.
We are arrived at a point as illustrated by history - that the ONLY recourse left us is going to require that which few to none will even allow themselves to contemplate. But that time is upon us.
Or we all end up walking willingly to the camps.
