I will be out and about tomorrow afternoon, so I'm posting the discussion thread now.
Added!
Wow-you should be a screen writer. LOL That all fits in very well and makes sense.
You’re right about the saliva...I thought it strange that Daryl licked his fingers and then shook hands with the kid. It came across as kind of nasty.
Now they have at least one Walker in their living quarters and it’s going to get more intense by the week.
And what was the girl trying to do in taking Rick back to the camp with her?
Did Rick stuff the girl in a bag too or just put a blanket over her?
Oh, and how about Carol about to teach those little kids on how to use knives? “cut and slash”.....She’s definitely got a dark side that one shouldn’t mess with.
Perhaps the kid got some other disease from something, and went untreated for too long.
That brain eating amoeba could have done it:
“It takes two to 15 days for symptoms to appear after N. fowleri amoebas enter the nose. Death usually occurs three to seven days after symptoms appear. The average time to death is 5.3 days from symptom onset. Only a handful of patients worldwide have been reported to have survived an infection.”

Good observation
LOL, you're probably right. I wonder, though, if she's convinced others of her crazy POV.....maybe boys.
It looked to me like Rick wrapped her in a bag and tied it up....I don’t think he shot her so she couldn’t turn. I could be wrong, though?
She was keeping Eddie’s HEAD in a bag, lol, and leading Rick back so he could become EdHead’s snack.
She really does. I'm liking her so much now. But why was she afraid Rick would find out what she was doing? I would think he'd want the kids to know how to defend themselves. Though it seemed to me Rick is kind of in denial, with the earbuds blocking out the walker sounds, and Herschel trying to convince him to take his gun along when he leaves the prison.
I was a little confused last night. Who was the kids that was bitten in Wallmart and why was he hitting on the young girl. Maybe the shortest character appearance on record.
So, the adult pig died. And the kid died. Are the deaths related in any way? Something in the water, perhaps? I guess we’ll see next week if more people get sick.
I guess he was one of the Woodburians who assimilated into the group. They didn’t have much of a chance to get a relationship going.
Like you said, she’s trouble but Carl will deal with her.
Good. I love his changing voice, BTW...very cute.
“I bet you 10-to-1 that the kid who dropped dead died from the Zombie Virus that makes them all turn into Walkers when they die. My guess is that...”
The guy from the CDC said that everyone was infected so Patrick likely already had the virus. My guess is that the virus is now mutating and starting to kill the carriers. I also think it is starting to infect animals since Violet the pig and the animal in the woods both had strange mottling of the skin and labored breathing.
Speaking of Carl—how old is he? I’d say 15.
“I liked the S4 premier, but it wasnt without some flaws. For instance, why didnt Rick ask Herschel to examine Violet the pig? Hes a vet after all.”
Pretty glaring inconsistency wasn’t it? Other things that bugged me is:
The sudden ceiling failure that just happened to coincide with the foragers being in the store.
The lack of a “Buddy system” when leaving the compound”
The lack of interest in a sick member of the group. You would think anyone getting sick would be quaranteened.
Something to consider...
Z-virus has two stages. The highly infectious, but harmless, dormant stage. And the Active stage.
They all have the dormant virus, but no one turns until normal life functions cease. This explains the CDC diagnosis and why Shane turned after being shot. Possible mechanism would be a prion based micro-virus that is normally consumed by healthy white blood cells.
Live virus will cause a fever and kill you as it over-writes the DNA in otherwise healthy cells. The prions already having a compromised cellular vector from the Walkers system that healthy white blood cells can’t handle. Explains pretty much everyone else bitten, dying from it, and coming back.
I don’t have cable, but I’m catching up a year back off of Netflix. ;-)
Note: pigs are a pretty close match systemically for humans. Our guts and immune systems are close enough for something like a Z-virus to cross over ala zoonotic transmission in reverse.

Agreed. Carol (and for that matter, Beth as well) are probably going to show some pretty intense character development this season. Beth’s response and reply to Daryl telling her about Zach’s death was something you wouldn’t have seen in Season2 Beth. She’s developed a very detached attitude about living through a ZA. Not quite sure what that prolonged hug with Daryl portends. I hope nothing. I just don’t see a Daryl/Beth romantic paring.
haha - I forgot to add to my original post of last night that originally I had suspected the woodswoman might be a potential love interest for Rick. I had even texted my theory to my daughter (who was watching from her college dorm room). Almost immediately, my theory was blown out of the water when the crazy woman attacked Rick. Daughter texted me back: “...no, not a love interest, lol!” My bad!
I’m still thinking her weird greenish appearence has more to do with some new strain of virus then just living rough in the woods.
