My, don't they look proud. But after shooting this rare albino moose near Belle Cote in Nova Scotia last week and posting the pics to social media the trio has sparked considerable outrage, particularly among the region's Mi'kmaq indigenous community.
These guys breached a kind of unwritten code of conduct that has also upset many in the hunting community.

Albino moose are not a rare species. They are a mutant variety of a very common species.
It says so in the Bible.
Well, if you... cannot lick 'em--
Or cut 'em... in bite size pieces--
Then join... 'em!
Well, they might, if they ever got the opportunity.
What’s the big deal, doesn’t it taste as good as the brown ones?
Only with the indian tribes that believe their ancestors are reincarnated as animals.
“And yes, 300 yards with a medium-caliber scoped rifle IS a sporting shot. It is only because what you know about hunting came from a Disney movie that you think otherwise. “
You big meanie. Don’t you know that it’s only sporting if you are hunting with a stone spear, while wearing a loin cloth, and giving the animal a 10 second head start to run away?
“Not a thing, it is just like the cops shooting someones dog. It is well within their rights.”
Not really. The dog is someone else’s property, the moose is fair game.
“Future sign at Burger King, 100% BEEF FROM NON-WHITE COWS”
Finally!! True multiculti appreciation of and for the minority meat species!
Thank you very much! Feeling great! Recovery is coming along very nicely.
“for fun”? So you are assuming that they shot the animal and left it there to rot? Do you have proof that they didn’t take the meat home to feed themselves and their families? Since you don’t hunt, I must assume that you purchased you beloved guns simply in order to murder people that pizz you off.
Thank you for sharing your opinion. It is a stupid, thoughtless, and moronic opinion, but it is yours. I am glad that you thought it important enough to share. /sarc
So now you are comparing the hunting of animals for food to the killing of babies with birth defects. Really?!
I blame movies like Bambie. Blatant anthropomorphizing to bolster an emotional response just like the OP is exhibiting.
“I was a vegetarian for many years (10+) and am not calling all hunters moronic, just some who do it for the thrill. Animal habitat is shrinking and is it really sport to use scent hiding devices, decoys etc?”
Maybe not sporting, but easier to make meat for the freezer. I thought you were against “sport” hunting. Your first sentence indicates that this is so, yet your second sentence demands that all be sport hunters. Please make up your mind.
“And it is because of that type of thinking for which we need government protection of animals. If it was up to people like you, they would all be extinct.
I am a Libertarian against all government, yet see the need for it in protecting nature against your type of thinking.”
You must have constant headaches. Your cognitive dissonance is astounding. You are against all government yet demand government regulation. Amazing.
Again, you drop your pants, bend over and show everyone your opinion. You demand that hunters be sportsman, yet don’t want them doing it for fun.
Try thinking about it as 3 months of steak on the hoof. Many, if not most, hunt for food and the satisfaction of proving themselves capable of providing for their families.
Just because it can be shot and killed doesn’t mean it should. These guys are deserving of the public ridicule from their own hunting community they are receiving......
And how would you go about capturing a moose?
