My, don't they look proud. But after shooting this rare albino moose near Belle Cote in Nova Scotia last week and posting the pics to social media the trio has sparked considerable outrage, particularly among the region's Mi'kmaq indigenous community.
These guys breached a kind of unwritten code of conduct that has also upset many in the hunting community.

LOL...good point 'cause that's exactly what they are.
Oops!
That should have read “Yo Baby”
Wasn’t trying to be insulting.
I’m not interested in PETA or the government’s sense of morality.
I would like to think I wouldn’t take something so rare and beautiful but, I wasn’t there.
exactly, and moreover it is the same line of reasoning for abortion in general. Certainly abortion is just fine, afterall, what law did they break?
Don’t ya just love the “it’s rare, it’s special,,,so we gotta kill it!” mindset?
And think about this. Killing and mounting it actually does preserve it longer than just letting nature take its course.
Do you realize it is Sportsmen that pay the bulk for these wild areas that you enjoy so much?
It is moronic because it is worth far more alive than dead.
They learned from that nasty King Kong fiasco.
Resist we moose!
Not a thing, it is just like the cops shooting someones dog. It is well within their rights.
This isnt about laws. Its about common sense. Jerks like these help give hunters a bad rep.
Heh. There are many who think passing obama care is just common sense.
Often, the sense demonstrated by another is only “common” if they agree with you.
Those of us who grew up on farms or have hunted know that steaks dont get manufactured in the back room at the market.
;-)
And it is because of that type of thinking for which we need government protection of animals. If it was up to people like you, they would all be extinct.
I am a Libertarian against all government, yet see the need for it in protecting nature against your type of thinking.

Baiting, scenting, and killing something at 300 yards using a high powered scope does not make someone a “sportsman” no matter how much you want to believe it does. Lazy ass coward? Yes. Sportsman? Hell no.
I like to kill pink squirming albino baby mice with a hammer.
Zactly
Ain’t nothing wrong with taking it but, it ain’t right.
No one is upset when a moose of color is gunned down, but when a white moose goes down the din is deafening. /s Seriously, a moose is a moose, I’m sure he is just as tasty as a chocolate moose. Like the old saying goes, “There’s plenty of room for all God’s creatures... right next to the mashed potatoes” If I were hunting, I’d shoot him; I would probably spend the cash to have a taxidermist do a full mount though, and maybe donate him to a museum or Cabellas.
For those who haven't clicked through the link yet, it leads to the Newhart episode titled "The Buck Stops Here". In that episode, handyman George Utley sees "The Great White Buck" in the woods, which brings good luck to everyone in town. Dick Louden accidentally kills the buck later in the episode, dooming the town to bad luck unless he performs "The Rite of the Dancing Wood Nymph". Fast forward to 18:41 and you'll get to the actual rite.
Oh Noes! Next thing you know fishermen will be using lures!
