When my late wife and I first married she brought her dachshund with her. I already had a parrot and a cat. The bird and dog bonded. Almost daily the bird would torment the cat and fly to the dog, safely riding his back.

One of my most favorite animal pictures. Just a hauntingly beautiful expression of “love” between an unlikely paring. Love to know the story behind it.

I might have to give the edge to the Akita and the lion. That cub looks so comfortable reclining in his chair....he seems about ready to whip out the remote control.

I don't see the dog warming up to us. Originally there were 2 of them dropped off together. The other one was a little friendlier but he disappeared. Now black dog has been there several years and he lives with the bulls. This crop of bulls will be sent off in January and a bunch of one year olds will take their place. Blackie has been through this before and he seems to be OK with it.

Thanks, I worry about the poor guy, especially him not having any shelter but nothing we can do. He is protective of his bull friends.
