The moment when an angry customer punched a gas station attendant has been caught on camera and the cause of the attack was because he didn't want to pay an extra 41 cents for a cigar.
Kendrick Ruth has been arrested after surveillance footage captured him punching Yadira Lara from across the checkout counter at a Lakewood, California gas station.
NBC Los Angeles reports that Ruth tried to pay for the cigar, which was priced at $1.41, with only $1.
Ruth then threatened Lara and she hid the cigar beneath the counter at the Chevron gas station on Del Almo Boulevard.
'He just said "Well f*** this is all I have,' Lara said of the exchange.
When that didn't work, he punched Lara in the face and ran away.
Police released the footage of the September 7 incident in hopes of having the public help find the suspect.
Ruth was found at a motel in Long Beach on Wednesday and arrested for robbery and assault.
His bail is set at $100,000 and will be arraigned on Friday.
The assaulted clerk has suffered permanent damage in her eye as a result of the incident, as it caused a previous childhood injury to re-emerge.
'I just blacked out for a while, just looking for my glasses,' she told NBC 4......

This is the direct fault of Holder, Obama, Jackson, and all the other race-baiting, victim preaching zealots out with their constant “we’re OWED this because of slavery.”
This has been going on since the late 50s and early 60s, but Holder and Obama have stepped up the game exponentially, and they have wrongfully emboldened blacks with an attitude of righteous entitlement, even to the point of violence. Obama and Holder have given us the “knockout game,” “white girl bleed a lot” and oh so many other games like “bored and nothing to do,” and “kill a white man/woman/baby.” This is on them - no doubt about it.
Instead of America’s First Black President healing the race divide in this country, he and Holder have created a chasm wider than the Grand Canyon, and they have succeeded in setting white’s attitudes about blacks in general a hundred years. Great going guys, you’ve started a war you will not win.
He was going to blunt it. So much for the “marijuana makes you peaceful” idea.
....and his dog was shot dead.

Also Canada, Israel, South Korea and Japan. But mostly the UK.
If you feed the bears at Yellowstone there is the danger that they will not only lose their ability to fend for themselves (handouts are easier than actually foraging), but the parents won’t teach these skills to their offspring. This new generation will be entirely dependent on others for their needs and will become aggressive if those needs are not met.
