Patriotism is chilling to people who despise the country.

“chilling” means frightening. I think this was probably meant to be “gave me chills” which is entirely different.

Reading some comments about a movie on IMDb a few days ago (don’t remember the movie), one poster wrote that “Patriotism is a disease”. Of course, he was referring to America. The poster seemed to be OK with the nationalism of other people.

Love it.
As for those who despise patriotism...get used to it, Obamaholes. More of it is coming your way and you are most definitely not liked or respected.
And - you all live in gun free zones.
Heh!

This must be fake. The soccer-bashers here on FR tell us all the time that only illegal aliens go to soccer games in this country....

Now if we can only carry this into the voting booths we can get our country back.

This is great! It would be great if they just dropped the singers and ask the crowd to sing and put the words up on the jumbotron for those who sadly don’t know them!

I think FReepers who love to bash soccer as a sport would be quite surprised to know how many distinctly patriotic people follow this sport with a passion. At the recent USA national match against Mexico there were many, many Gadsden flags waiving in the stands from the TV shots of the crowd.

I know a guy who describes soccer as: A game for homosexuals who dont have the hand-eye coordination to play badminton.
I personally dont care to every play soccer because it reminds me too much of my high school love life, a lot of running around, a lot of heavy breathing, a lot of sweating, no scoring.
All kidding aside, loved the video.
