Twenty three minutes into Episode 514, entitled “Ozymandias” after a Shelley poem, Breaking Bad made television history. Except that most fans didn’t notice. They were instead ready to cry, scream, vomit, or hurl a waffle iron at the plasma TV, or some combination of the above.

Your town and surrounding landscape deserve a supporting actor award for BrBa. It’s been amazing watching.

“Lots to discuss. You could compare it David in the Bible.”

Excellent.

And just imagine how a decent wise son such as young Walt could suffer the same fallen fate as the once-wise Solomon, the son of David.

Young Walt is now carrying an awful burden because of his parents, and he may not have what it takes to handle it.

;D

Truthfully, I tried knitting, once.

I wound up with a never-ending long pink thing.

It was too skinny for a scarf and too long for a dish cloth.

I never got the hang of “casting off” so I just kept going until I got bored.

You really cannot miss even one single episode.

The paradigm shifts every week.

My hearing isn’t very good so I rely on closed caption for most things.

I have lip-read eff at least once.

I am so tired of “bitch” I could scream.

He started becoming a parody with that.

I would say MTV is a cultural influence. It has lowered the bar successfully for a generation and a half.

Breaking Bad? Not so much.

I doubt as many high school science teachers have been inspired to start their own meth empire as sixteen year olds persuaded that getting knocked up by their baby daddy or being queer is OK. (not to mention the inspired swarms of aspiring rappers.)

LOL -—I had exactly the opposite response. I liked the first couple of episodes but found it tedious after that

The finale of The Shield still kind of haunts me. It’s the same ending I think Walt is heading for.

Shakespeare would have written Breaking Bad.

This is truly thoughtful writing. Nothing has been on screen at this level.

I did like the clueless Coleman Young lookalike mayor who sat though a meeting about the murder only to ask a question about whether the boxer was any good.

The mark of excellent drama. :-)

It’s the same ending I think Walt is heading for.

It's clear from the last episode that he isn't. Of course he's not only a lot cleverer than than the character played by the bucktoothed actor on The Shield, he's not stoned out of his mind on drugs either.

Breaking Bad is possibly as good as Saving Grace.

I am so tired of “bitch” I could scream.

The character is an inarticulate high school dropout. It's absolutely fitting that he should have a total epithet vocabulary of one word.

Personally I’d rate The Shield, Sons of Anarchy, and The Walking Dead well above Ray Donovan.

>>He was in a knife fight with his wife

She initiated the violence, attacked him with a knife and cut him without warning. I wouldn’t call that a knife fight.

Please tell me that you’re not watching a series about greedy, murderous drug kingpins and their various ethically challenged and equally murderous flunkies and you’re complaining about cursing in the dialog. I mean...really?
