I have a couple of questions about Breaking Bad.
No, what doesn’t bode well for our society is when people can’t tell the difference between reality and a TV show.
u r correct. I was wrong.
The OP said "Really? Thats (Unemployment Compensation) doomed business? Mind explaining exactly how that mechanism works?" To which you said, "The question was about unemployment. No one said anything about "doomed" business."
The idea that you can separate the two, a "doomed" business and unemployment, is laughable. UI may doom a percentage of businesses but hardly the cause of a majority or even a plurality.
Doomed businesses cause unemployment. I really don't see how you continue to separate the two.
Really? The poisoning of a child (Brock). The lies to his family members. The murder of Gus Fring. The murder of Mike. Talking Jesse into killing Gale. Just whistling after the young boy on a bike is gunned down by Todd. None of these things say "pure evil" to you?
He didn't start out that way; but, boy, he sure has descended into the darkness, and he seems to like it.
enjoy the show.
Yay! A Breaking Bad thread! I was a little confused over the ricin cigaret as well. I’m just gonna watch and let it
all play out.
As for the characters, I don’t really enjoy Walt anymore.
It made no sense to me for him to screw up the arrangement
they had with Gus, although the storyline had to move along.
I can’t stand Skylar, and I miss Gus and Mike. I’ve always
been partial to Jesse. I just started watching it this year,
binge watching till I got caught up. I’m ready for it to end
now.
Well at least you agree with me that it’s a dilemma! The killings were awful but he could justify all of them as “necessary”, and, he was mostly killing “bad guys”, the boy on the bike was horrible but quite an “accident” from that loose cannon Todd. Walt does care for Jesse doesn’t he?
Yes, but this is not at all like the Saw movies (didn’t see them but my kids did and I read about them) BB isn’t slasher porn. It is dark, though, and I had to stop watching it for awhile, but it’s just so darn well done, it truly is amazing to watch.
I think because Walt still thinks of himself as a decent human being. I know, Skylar! However, a mother will go to unimaginable lengths to protect her children!
Show ends this way: Todd and gang kill Walt and Jesse and perhaps more. Much the same fate as Gus Fring. Hank Shrader is clueless to actually how this went down and is further clueless about the power structure involved, same as he was clueless with Gus Fring. The series will end, Hank is clueless, Todd and Gang are the new Meth King Pins of New Mexico, but Hank doesnt quite know this yet. End of Series
And leaving Jane to die of an overdose, too.
I think I remember the Ricin going all the way back to when a prostitute somehow threatened Jesse with exposure.
Walt made it and it was never used. but that is why Jesse had it in some cigarettes.
Jesse though he had accidentally poisoned the kid with Ricin because the cigarette was lifted by the lawyer.
However Walt had actually poisoned the kid with a different poison and in the nick of time tells Jesse or the hospital the type it is.
Jesse just realized what had happened so he goes ballistic
Agreed. You always hear stories about how Afghani women are the ones to kill you, how Comanche women are the ones that did the torture, etcetera.
Jane dies and that causes her father (an air traffic controller) to screw up and 2 airlines full of people to collide above Albuquerque.
When Walt talks about it at a high school counseling event he says basically It could have been worse
But I still like Walt..... evil though he may be
I understand Hitler was also likable
You have obviously thought a good deal about the subject of women
I thought the same. But, my son convinced me to give it a chance. One episode hooked me. There's a lot going on in this series.
I want to watch the series again, from the begiining, just as soon as it ends.
Im in Albuquerque so it is required that I watch it
1. Breaking Bad
2. Always wanted to be able to say “I knew I should have taken that left turn at Albuquerque
