A three inch recluse? That certainly would be a world record, haha. When back in Tennessee, I had to deal with them on a daily basis.
Three inches is a very big spider.,,,Maybe a wolf spider. I had one a bit larger then that just yesterday. I trapped it and relocated it to the outdoors.

I live in southwest Ohio, and a few years ago, I had a wolf spider about 5 inches long in my garage. My friend thought I was exaggerating until she came to my house and captured it. (She is brave, unlike me.) She actually measured it with a ruler. I have an extreme phobia of spiders, and I admit that it did occur to me to call the police. They could probably have shot it, literally.

How did you manage to trap a wolf spider? They are sooo fast. We can find them in houses here occasionally.
