Breaking Bad discussion here Last week was episode 511
Exactly. Notice that Todd was running his mouth off in the last episode. He's a loose canon, and I'd bet he and / or Lydia are going to factor into this. Maybe as a DEA informant after being caught?
One puzzle that I am wondering if anyone deicpher. At the end of the last episode Jesse is drenching the White abode with gasoline. When Walt returns during his 52nd birthday, the house still is standing though vandalized. What do you think happened? Did Jesse light the match?
I suspect that whatever else happens between Hank and Walt, it won't be official DEA business.
i went back and looked and there doesn’t appear to be any fire damage in that scene. I think Jesse is going to be interrupted before he can light the gas.
BrBa is probably the best series I’ve ever watched among “24”, “Lost”, “Prison Break”, and a few others.
I wasn’t hooked till after the first 4 seasons. Not sure how I missed out on it, but I played catch up over the summer watching 2 or 3 episodes at a time on Netflix along with the first part of season 5 on another service.
The camera work in this show is compelling.
I am thinking more of a Richard III ending “My kingdom for a Horse” (The grotesque amount of money is symbolic) Director and Writer Vince Gilligan, who is Catholic most likely will not allow Walt to go unpunished. And Walt’s demise will ensue after he is stripped of his legacy rendering everything moot(the pile of money). After Walt kills Hank and accidentally kills his own children - kills Lydia and confronts Jesse,he may hesitate and seal his demise and be killed by Skylar. If this tale ultimately is about redemption, then Jesse lives as he and Marie are the only uncorrupted(or redeemed - the money again) human souls left.
But he wasn't poisoned with ricin, right?
Of course those show could be prequels, especially for Saul......
Yeah, you have to think Lydia isn’t going to go out well. Then again it’s amazing how these writers keep pushing out the twists.
I also have to say that BB has had some of the funniest ridiculous moments on TV in the last few years. Or maybe at least the funny bits seem a lot funnier amongst all the darker stuff.
I forget, was there a scene where Walt tried his own meth?
Freegards
How much was in the pile was discussed here:
http://www.businessinsider.com/how-much-money-walter-white-made-on-breaking-bad-2013-8
$80 million
“And Todd (how evil is this kid) telling his Uncle and sidekick “Heisenberg’s” real name, cannot be good for Walt.”
Todd is pretty evil. This guy kills as casually as if he’s blowing his nose.
That’s right. Now it’s all coming back to me!
But Brock wasn’t poisoned by the ricin, he was poisoned by the Morning Glory plant in Walt’s back yard, so why would Jesse think it was the ricin cigarette?
Ed
I understand all that but it does not answer the question. Why does a kingpin need his minion cook to pay his bills? It does not follow.
Don't you remember the scene where Jesse went insane looking for the ricin cigarette? Walt created a dummy with salt instead of ricin in the vial. He went through an elaborate charade of "helping" Jesse find it when they miraculously "found" the dummy ricin cigarette in the Rumba robot vacuum cleaner?
Don't you remember Walt hiding the real ricin vial that he had stolen from Jesse in the electrical outlet in their bedroom?
Man I was way off. That is what I get for using scientific methods..... :)
I rechecked my math, and I did notice that I used 256 cuft. , when it should have been 64 cuft in the pile. Still the numer would still what I stated divided by 4. Still billions. Not sure what assumptions they are using.
I’m also late to viewing BB.
Do you know why the kid was poisoned by Walt?
Was Jesse’s girl friend killed by Walt and why?
Who is Brock?
thanks
I understand all that but it does not answer the question. Why does a kingpin need his minion cook to pay his bills? It does not follow.
yeah, that does not make sense but it would still leave Hank open to some questions
As hank said- its just a threat
“I understand all that but it does not answer the question. Why does a kingpin need his minion cook to pay his bills? It does not follow.”
codependent, I guess. Lydia will die a hideous death, probably in front of her daughter; She is the mirror image of Walt but a female mirror and as pathological as he is. I think Hank is going to stew and explode. As for Saul, he will play both ends against the middle as lawyers often do.
