Granite Can Form Quickly

Evolutionists need the “magic” of millions and billions of years to have a hope of convincing us that what is normally impossible according to the laws of science just might be possible if we allow unfathomable years for it to happen.

So it is that they want us to believe that it took millions or even billions of years for the geological features we see to have formed.

Well, not only is the “science” upon which assumptions rest based on an unproven and unprovable house of cards, we are learning that many of the things scientists once claimed had to take millions of years can actually happen in much less time.

Granite is one such thing.

From the video description:

People with granite bench tops in their kitchens are usually very proud of them, never failing to show them off to visitors. But that’s not surprising—serving up dinner on a surface that was supposedly millions of years in the making carries a certain aura about it.

But in a recent paper, published in the Proceedings of the Geologists’ Association, granite specialist John Clemens stated, ‘just about everything that was taught as recently as ten years ago about granitic magmatism has been turned on its head’.

He then described how granites can form quickly. He concluded that granites belong with an increasing number of geological processes that were, ‘catastrophic in their suddenness’.

This eliminates yet another reason not to believe the Bible’s timescale.

While this is certainly a dramatically different view of how granites form, be sensitive when telling your friends with granite bench tops, because they might find this research pretty deflating.

You can buy “synthetic” granite now.

You can buy likewise “fake” but real diamonds. They are manufactured in days.

Magma that cools quickly forms basalt and is amorphous at microscopic level. Granites can be formed from the same combination of minerals, but have a very different appearance because of the size of the crystals that are formed during the cooling process. In relative terms, basalts cool quickly and granites cool slowly. But, the formation of both types of rocks occurs over a very short period of time compared to their longevity on the Earth. Both can be found today that were formed hundreds of millions or even a few billions of years ago. The decay of radioactive minerals within these rocks allows us to date them in their proper hierarchy within the Earth’s history.

This story is complete poppycock, nonsense, bull crap. And oh, by the way: nothing that what geology has to say about the formation and life cycle of the Earth is in any way contradictory to what God and Jesus tell us about creation. Some people try to convince others that the two are incompatible, but they don’t know what they are talking about.

Lemme know when they can show me how to compress 4.5 billion years of radiometric decay down to one year, without releasing any heat.

Desperate times require desperate arguments, one supposes.

How this lunatic can look at himself in the mirror is beyond me.

Misleading the gullible for money just has to be a sin, imho.

It’s amazing what exponentials are able to express when operated upon convoluted functions previously assumed to remain constant.

I see nothing wrong in following premises of radioactive decay theories within their original context, but granting them the criteria of absoluteness and invariance begs the question.

That's a calculated value based on observed empirical data. You're welcome to demonstrated the flaws in both the measurements and the calculations.

It usually takes only a few months for pome-granites to fully form.

Of course granites can form (relatively) quickly. They’re non-metamorphic rocks. They form (as already noted) from magmas. It’s *sedimentary* rocks that take a lot of time to form.

Me? Maybe you should take that up with the God of all creation. He's the one that did it and told us His timeline. Whether you believe Him or not is truly your own terrible problem. In the end, we will all see.

Ignorance on this scale is really scary.

What is ignorant about this claim, Bernie? Are you saying you can "prove" the age of the earth, or are your assumptions based on unprovable assumptions?
