To raise awareness that dogs and puppies at shelters need homes. To honor and cherish your dogs at home.
In May, my wife called from a pet shop in Delray and told me that she fell in love "with that doggie in the window" and would I object if she bought him home. Being in a benevolent mood, I uncharacteristically acquiesced. She came home and dropped him in my lap. I immediately fell in love with a cockapoo. We call him Bailey as his fur is the same color as a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream. I love the little guy. We're taking him to Atlanta and introduce him to the family.
Every day is “dog day” at our house! We love our pups!
Thank you, that was funny.
Ah I love cats too, but just not the same degree as dogs. I do have a cat right now, a grey tabby, she’s just short of a wild cat, and watching her and the dog go at it is so much fun. Sadly I think she has aggressive cancer in both of her eyes, it’s very visible, so I’m not sure how much time she may have left.
Animal companions are just the best though!
Thanks so much really appreciate it. Couldnt figure out how to make it post but now I understand how..and thanks they are really good boys
My pleasure. They look like the best of boys, too.
Glad you finally found a friend in Bailey.
My wife brought Semper and Fi home from work in a box. One of her coworkers was going to take them to the pound. My wife could not let that happen. So I guess they are rescued dogs.
I have a 16 year old tan tabby. I’ll be praying for your kitty
Maxie(On the left) he is a full bred shih tzu..he belonged to our neighbors down the street but they could no longer take care of him so we took him..he is 7 years old..Nemo is Pomeranian/Maltese, he is we believe between 8-9 years old..he came from a doggy day care we have had him since he was 1 year old..such sweet babies
Happy National Dog Day to them and to you as well, sweetie.
And a very happy National Poochie Day to you as well :-)
Semper and Fi are a couple of cute pups. I’m sure they’ll be a lot happier with your wife and you than they’d be in the pound.

Every day is national DOGGY day at my house; damn, I have to climb up on the roof just to have a smoke in piece.
Don’t even try to eat a sandwich, they will figure out how to use the ladder just so they can get their bite.
OOOPS, should have been peace.
