In a surprise ruling, a three judge panel of the Ninth Circus Court of Appeals issued a unanimous opinion supporting the right of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients to unionize in order to assure equitable access to benefits, along with an uninterrupted flow of payments should the federal government be forced to temporarily shut down due to congressional budget stalemates.
"For too long so-called Food Stamp beneficiaries have been denied access to union representation seeking to protect their rights," said Justice Gavin Moore Freestuff. In a sharply worded rebuke to attorneys representing the National Taxpayers Union, which sought to block a ruling by the newly reconstituted National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Justice Freestuff cited recent court precedents establishing the right of home health care workers, nannies, babysitters, and dog walkers to pay compulsory dues which unions could then use to influence elections.

I’m cursed with a very vivid and fertile imagination but still having trouble figuring out what services these citizens might withhold from us to induce the changes they demand.
NO MORE SATIRE!
The real news is too much for most people already ...and its hard to tell them apart.sometimes
This is a joke, right.
What isn’t a joke . . in our area we have people getting divorced and then having their trailers/houses parked right next to each other. Both on foods stamps, some on disability which evidently is a snap to get on, driving new cars and motorcycles, chugging the six packs, grilling out with the best of steaks, seen doing heavy manual work while on total disability, and laughing at the system and those who are working so that these leeches can exist. Their poor children will grow up with the same mentality.
How it made it to Real Clear Markets, I have no idea. If it weren’t for Circus for Circuit and the name of the Judge, there would be no obvious give aways.
That’s the thing, it’s hard to tell it apart now.
Would it be so shocking if a judge actually made a ruling like this? Not really.
No, but it is definitely satire.
You’re not as ‘cursed’ as you think you are; it’s satire.
Maybe their goal is that if you want to join the union, you have to be voted in.
It’s sad when you read satire like this and automatically believe that its true.
Funny, but sad.
Suddenly them forming a Union doesn’t sound as bad.
Marked as satire after post #15
but given the present state of the country and the laws interpreted by our nations leaders, it could have been true.
What's up is now down ; what was down is now up = CHAOS !!
Of course. This position is too sane for the 9th. I think they have moved on to discovering the right for everyone to have a free unicorn.
Ha! What will they do? Go on strike and STOP cashing their welfare checks, if they don’t get MORE???
PERFECT!
