Mozilla Firefox 23 Is Now Available for Download

Mozilla uploaded a few hours ago, August 6, the final packages of the Mozilla Firefox 23.0 web browser for all supported platforms, including Linux, Mac OS X and Windows.

The brand-new Mozilla Firefox 23 web browser will be officially announced by Mozilla later today, but you can download the final version right now (see download link at the end of the article) from the official Mozilla FTP servers.

Among the highlights of Mozilla Firefox 23.0 we can mention that mixed content blocking has been enabled to protect users from eavesdroppers and man-in-the-middle attacks on HTTPS pages, the about:memory's functional UI (user interface) has been improved, the notifications of plugin installation has a simpler interface, and social share functionality has been added.

I hate browsing to some sites,, I get bushwahcked,, I know I need faster laptops but still, some of the data hogging that goes on is pitiful, lags, delays, Firefox has gotten worse , IMO,, sad. I remember the ancestors, enuf is enuf.

Apparently they have removed some options — like turning off javascript easily. I’ve reset my options under Tools not to update without my approval.

My Firefox just automatically upgraded from version 22 to version 23. So far I don’t notice any difference.

What happened with Waterfox 64? I was turned on to it by a FReeper post here. I don’t think the 18.0.0 version changed since the day I DL’ed it months ago. Is it no longer getting updated?

I just switched from the 32 bit version to 64 bit (22) last week. Been getting pop ups galore. Not sure what went wrong...

Can this version finally size webpages correctly?

I had to remove the previous version from mine and a few family members computer because every website was displaying super zoomed and way too big.

Many seemed to have this problem and none of the online fixes work.

Opera for some God knows reason removed the drop down button on the address bar so you have to type every website so I couldn’t use that

Google is just evil so I wasn’t going to Chrome

That left the Hobson’s choice of IE10, which annoyingly tends to get stuck on certain scripts and freezes, not to mention the extremely annoying constant Nag popup to manage Add Ons

So all these Browsers really blow right now.

I am almost tempted to find an old AOL CD and use them.
