Scientists have been examining the jaws of the pufferfish, which has evolved over millions of years to form a beak. Pufferfish use these to break open the shells of molluscs and crabs.
Beaks are more "robust and practical", according to Dr Gareth Fraser, lead researcher.
Another theory states that, in the future, human beings will develop the ability to endlessly replace their teeth, to have an unlimited supply, not unlike sharks.

Then too, humans “could” devolve to be “scientists” like the writer.
That's not a "theory", it's not even a scientific hypothesis.
It's somebody's fantasy, or given the article is from poor, vegetarian India it could be a journalist's wet dream of how humans might develop to eat unprocessed grains.
Sure, beaks are OK for birds who have severe weight restrictions, but not necessary for ground-bound humans, unless we first develop to fly -- and then we wouldn't need other heavy appendages like brains, of which this article's author has obviously already discarded his own.
persevere: "Or, evolution could be a lie."
No, evolution is a fact, but this article's suggestion is ludicrous.

You wanted to show a lot of FRs have pleanty of time on their hands this Independence Weekend."
;-)
Riigght. And of course, any people with facial mutations are the first to get a date to the prom. And beaks are so much more pleasant to kiss than soft lips. And every man dreams of a woman with a hard beak to provide a very personal pleasure for him.
They don’t. This is a load of daydream garbage. Humans will not evolve again. We have no need to adapt. Our environment has been built to adapt to us. Besides, this would take another million years realistically. You think we’re going to last that long?
I ont even give us another 100 at this rate...
Not likely. A woman with a beak would be a real nut cracker. ;-)
I always love this stuff. Perhaps the authors can detail for me the step by step RANDOM mutations required for this transformation. Please list the random development of all enzymes, coenzymes, their formation, all new proteins, and length of time. Start any time.
Classic! I gotta million of them!
In which case we'd need a gizzard to grind the grain as well.
Au contraire, it’s to be expecked as we chicken scratch for survival in a world of fuss and feathers.
You are a man of many talons.
Only the harpies and vultures of the human race this would happen to.
Big deal - Pak Protectors developed beaks eons ago, according to Larry Niven. ;^0
That’s a cheep shot!
Somebody should tell this guy we already know how to shuck oysters and crack crabs without using our teeth.
