One of the problems with socialism. Everybody thinks that everything and anything on the planet belongs to them.
Ensuring your doors and windows are locked is a simple deterrent, Montague added. Dont make it easy for someone to break into your house....Just. Plain. IDUNNOWHAT. Is society that far down the road?
I guess my reaction would depend on what she looked like...........
Eggs are okay but don’t ask me how I know it’s a bad idea to fry bacon naked.
When I first moved to the Dallas area in the late 50s, I was single and in my late 20s. I moved into a ground floor apartment and was hoping to get adjusted soon to the coming “swinging 60s”. Getting ready for work one morning, I left the front door open and went back to the bathroom for a couple of minutes. When I came out, I found a strange young lady with a British accent in my living room. She said she thought a girl lived there, and was wanting a ride to work. Of course I volunteered to supply transportation. As we went out the door, evidently she spotted someone she knew, and slipped away.
I left that door open every morning for the rest of the summer and never caught another one.
If he was in my house...he would still be hungry at his funeral.
It would have been bad if they cooked him with the clothes on.
Actually I had that happen once. I got lucky one night ... in my youth ... and went home with a lady from a bar... I swear this was my first and only time I ever did this :<). In the morning she and I got up and she was cooking me breakfast while I sat at the kitchen table ... both of us were ... well not dressed for the occasion. I did not know that my lady had a room mate whose boy friend had also spent the night. He came out to the kitchen and met me ... though we both now have new ladies ... we are still good friends and laugh at our meeting to this day
I hate when that happens.
The illegal immigrant debate teaches us that the east Vancouver man must now let that naked, showered man live in his house.
I prefer the uninvited strangers who vacuum and do the laundry.
There was murder in my hometown of La Crosse, Wis. two years ago. A young woman who had an apartment close to downtown left her ground floor front door unlocked. Some Asian gang member who was looking to burglarize whatever he could, walked into her apartment through the unlocked front door. She heard footsteps and thought it was her boyfriend. The gangbanger saw the young woman, pulled out a gun, and shot her dead. Moral of the story: never leave your door unlocked in a city. The La Crosse metro area only has 1-2 murders a year out of a pop. of over 100,000, but it does happen.
ne of my first places on my own was an apartment. One day, I was cooking, clothed, when someone used their key to open my locked door. Thankfully, they screamed and ran back out. That was also the apartment that had a leak so everytime the people upstairs bathed, it came down into my tub and everytime they used their kitchen sink it came down in my cabinets. And the waterheater leaked all in the closet. Took forever to get it fixed. It was one of the newer and nicer apartment complexes in the city. Then there were the night noises upstairs. And my car was broken into. Apartments? No thanks. Never again.
