So suppose, I don't know, you're country just goes down the tubes. Where would you go?
We are the ones with all the guns and we are leaving?
Chile
Panama
Costa Rica
Nicaragua
Uruguay
I’ll go one further...
IBTZ
Our enemy are like pigeons, they can’t survive 10 miles out of the city...we’ll out last them!
Some Central American countries are financially, socially stable, with good affordable medical care.
I’m sticking with America. Not that I think America itself has a future. It’s devolved into a degenerate, statist cesspool... a pathetic shell of its former greatness and glory. But there’s still a fair chance a part of it (encompassing here in Texas and beyond) will ultimately have to make a self-survival gambit and break away. I’ll take up arms and fight for that. America? As it is now? Not worth lifting a finger for. It can burn.
I keep hearing Costa Rica is good, anyone?
I am in San Diego. Plenty of retired military, great weather. Kids and grandkids in Cal. In-laws all here. What’s a guy to do?
We need some more free masons to set up another sacred place...
Following the doctors is a good option. But likely the Carribean will be too expensive. Especially if SHTF. So I’ll stay in USA.
We will need to make our own new countries...do not move to where you will be a stranger...stay with friends and family who know you. Besides the collapse will be global and extremely bloody most likely.
Ah, I've always wanted to visit Chile!
How's Brazil? (I see it's not on the list.)
Two weeks here and you post an inflammatory vanity? But I’ll answer your question anyway. I’m staying right here, because I want to be here when the shooting starts. I have a little list. My advice is, don’t be on it. Welcome to FR.
6-11-13. Welcome to Freerepublic.
Texas?
If you live in Texas...Texas is good. I live in Illinois (rural area) and had considered going to Switzerland, Ireland, Costa Rica, etc...but after discussions with friends and contemplation realized it is vitally important to survival to be where people already know and trust you...
Please don’t shoot me, Mr. thedrill. I didn’t mean to make you click on my thread.
“Where would you go?”

Depends on a number of factors such as Married? single? have kids?
For a single man, as I WAS, the Philippines can be quite nice
especially if one is on a low budget.
central Europe, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, and others, can be quite nice. I spent over five years there, mostly in Slovakia.
Central and South America are very high on the hot spots to go. For sites that specialize in this area, sign up for “EFAM.com” and “InternationalLiving.com
I get emails from them every day.
Texas may very well be another country by then.
