Omigosh!
Presently not raining here. Things are loaded in the car to take the James to camp at 3:00. It can double as an Elen Driving Event, ulp, and I’ll get gas in the car.
I suppose that’s one way to dust a ceiling fan...
Ohmy. I will wait to hear about Elen’s Driving Event.
The laundry has been put away and the bedroom straightened, and I’m going to make a cake. :o] Just not from scratch. I don’t do that any more. Frosting, yes; cake, no.
I wouldn’t recommend it...
Looks a little on the slippery side.
You are so brave! (That’s the second-greatest accolade anyone could receive when I was a kid. The first was, “He/she studies hard.”)
Braggart! It’s 87 here. [smiles]
91 now, and the humidity is down to 12%. It feels much better!
Thank you, thank you ... hold the applause until we make it back intact ;-).
Found the rain ponchos for James at Family Dollar - one each for James and James, so neither feels left out. I wish I’d found him some boots here somewhere, but it looks like we gave away all the sizes between Frank and humongous.
Rain ponchos? What are they?
</sarc
You might wonder, because they’re getting very hard to find. I looked at Walmart last night, and they were sold out of everything priced under $9 each
Everyone is going to camp at the same time, it would seem.
I just stuck the cake in the oven. Yay, me! When I’ve rested my back a little, and the butter has softened, I will make the frosting.
And this afternoon, I will treat myself to a BLT on rye with some chocolate cake. Because I can. And I didn’t have to buy any of the ingredients. :o]
Camps all through June and July, and it’s been raining constantly. Good luck with the cake!
Making cakes used to be a lot of fun. Actually, cooking of any kind used to be fun, but with the spinal arthritis getting so bad, I don’t do a lot of work in the kitchen. I mostly do short-cuts and microwave. :o[
There are a lot of church camps in the mountains around us, some to the west and some to the northeast, but unless the forecast specifically says “rain,” most campers don’t bother with ponchos. The showers don’t last long, and folks dry out in a hurry.
Tagline
Okay, Honey! Ya got me! It’s only 89 here now.
Even the delivery guy who brought our ammo today was sweating.
Frosting’s the hard part, anyway.
