We can’t eat goldfinches and stuff ... they’re protected migratory songbirds. Having sunflowers all over gives them something to eat other than the tomatoes and blueberries, at least, and nothing’s after the pumpkins in the front flowerbed. Even Frank leaves them alone, because the vines are all prickly.

By the way, I started writing a book with only a title. It was fun but it's still only half-finished.
I went back and reread Jabberwocky.
Some of the old tech manuals written by very intelligent but limited English speaking workers at Japanese companies like Mitsubish do this naturally. The more intelligent the better. Very intelligent English speaking people can be entertaining while writing technical articles too.

Survived another Creation Festival. Someone make sure we got plenty of rain to create mud. And a thunderstorm that blew over our shower. No tents or other equipment was damaged. And sunburn when the sky was not cloudy. But due to the wet, no massive clouds of dust.
Just wet tents and things that now need to be set back up long enough to dry and a bag of funky (and wet) laundry that I gifted Mrs. NoC with.
Had no cell service all week which messed up communicating with the others in the group as we all arrived at different times. Forgot my camera so had to use the camera in my slightly intelligent phone so I don’t know whether I have any useful pics or not.
Now I need a real shower and a good night’s sleep..
I shall be interested in learning what you created, other than mud and funk. (After you have rested, of course).
