HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) Authorities say a Good Samaritan who tried to intervene in a fight between two groups of teens in Huntington Beach Saturday evening, was nearly beaten to death by the same teens who attacked him with their skateboards.
Police say 40 teens attacked the 25-year-old man about 7:50 p.m. at Murdy park in Huntington Beach. The man is in extremely critical condition.
Officials said the mans girlfriend saw the teens involved in an altercation.
After the girlfriend tried to intervene, the crowd turned on her. She got away but returned with her boyfriend. Police said the teens than turned on him.
The man tried to flee to a nearby laundromat where the attack continued, said police.
Huntington Beach Police said on their Facebook page that four juveniles were arrested for attempted murder. All four are currently on probation for other crimes and have been taken to Orange County Juvenile Hall, said authorities.
Police said more arrests could come soon.
The Good Samaritan was transported to UCI Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery.
KCAL9′s Tom Wait spoke to witnesses who observed the brutal beating.
Sandy Nguyen, who works at the nail salon two doors down from Surf City Coin Laundry, said, I was so scared. So I locked the door. They used their skateboards to beat the boy in the head.
Witness Erik Yslas saw a group of kids run through the parking lot. I saw four people running into the parking lot, didnt know what was going on at first. I spin to my left and saw all the cops right there.
Dave Sumner said, It looked like every cop in Huntington Beach was here, seemed like. At 11:30 [p.m.] there were still a lot of cops all over the parking lot.
The victims identity is being withheld while police continue the investigation, said the Huntington Beach authorities.
I’ll bet Jan & Dean never saw this coming.
One handgun might have saved him
Are you suggesting it was the counter-Amish?
Often it’s this simple:
Skaters = Scum
like trying to separate rival packs of hyenas
I keep thinking I have to re-define my concept of ‘teen’. The couple both wanted to protect the innocence of childhood, so to speak, and they were repaid with adult malevolence.
But since there were dozens of them I would recommend an AR-15 with a 30 round magazine.
I’m just saying...
One handgun might have saved him
You would have needed a large capacity magazine.
A gun with a high-capacity mag would have come in handy.
bttt
Was this in the news 2-3 weeks ago? The case sounds very familiar.
That one was a large number of Obozo’s feral children acting out again.
Is this a new incident?

...nah. One shot in these cowards direction is all it would take.
“A group of five to 10 teens chased the man across the street and into a laundromat. Police said at least four of them attacked him using their skateboards as weapons, while other teens captured the crime on camera and later posted it on Facebook.”

or just ask which 7 of them wanted to get shot first.
Feral animals...and that’s giving the animals a bad name.
Heh... One of the earliest warnings dear old Dad ever gave me was, “Don’t try to break up a fight because you end up with the fighters going after YOU.” He didn’t mean, naturally, not to intervene in an obvious situation of somebody getting mugged or a gang beating up one person, etc. He meant a fight where the odds were basically even and the fighters had a score to settle. Just let them settle the score themselves.
What “different” crowd?
I know!
A crowd of clean cut looking boys with white shirts, ties, black name tags, and bikes! Yep! It’s gotta’ be that gang! /s
Break down of the family alert and a common culture with boundaries.
My guess is in the 60's if an adult tried to stop this, it would have stopped.
Thanks again Progressive Agenda, Ted Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson etc etc.....
Here is ABC’s version.

“Investigators said two large groups of teenagers - as many as 40 - were fighting just before 8 p.m. Friday at Murdy Park at Goldenwest Street and Warner Avenue. A woman attempted to break up the melee, but some of the teenagers turned on the woman, prompting her 25-year-old boyfriend to intervene.”

“When police officers arrived, the teens allegedly ran in multiple directions. Of the seven detained, four of them were booked for attempted murder at Orange County Juvenile Hall.”
