Twinkies may be back on the shelves in a couple months! As every sane person knows, our beloved Twinkies went out of production a few months ago because of a dispute between Hostess Brands, Inc. and the bakery unions that crafted the sweet snack.
Hostess Brands LLC, a new company under new management in Columbus, GA, announced that it will re-open the state of the art bakery:
The Company will initially add 200 jobs to the local economy and plans to create a total of more than 300 jobs in the community within the next several years. The baking facility, located at 1969 Victory Drive in Columbus, will resume operations this summer and will produce a full assortment of Hostess iconic snack products, including Twinkies, Cup Cakes, HoHos and Ding Dongs.

If it is tastes same or better than before...might try it again.
Making Twinkies in a southern right-to-work state without union goons?
Our Long National Nightmare is over.
I hope they open it as a non-union shop!
if they do I will buy a case on general principle
Didn’t they hear about the sequester?
We’re saved!
ROTFL!!!
For a second there I thought it was a SF society article. :)
More muslims may be able to use the Twinkie defense this long hot summer.
since they are holding a “job fair” it sounds like they are NOT bringing back the old employees..
hmmmmm I wonder why...
I’ll believe when I see Raspberry Filled Donuts.
I read where this new company has already been approached by some union Neanderthals who said they’ve got some guys who “know how to put the white stuff inside the Twinkies”.
Many here of FR called it exactly like this--that Hostess would re-appear in a work-friendly state. The brand name was too lucrative not to. I suspect the New Hostess will hire some of the old talent--those that know how to maintain the proprietary machinery--but the $100K/year machine-watchers are probably going to have to continue to pound sand. They'll be easy to spot--they're the ones complaining that the new Twinkie "just don't taste right".
Hahahahahahah
That was a good way to frame it!
When I was at Ft. Benning, Victory Drive was better known for its tarts.
Maybe they can bring back Morton’s Doughnuts and Pastry-Go-Rounds while they are at it.
Oops. Danish Go Rounds.
Thanks lowbridge.
How long will the new Twinkies last?
