Local sources tell me this: Counterfeit bills turned in to the Fed used to number 1-2 per YEAR. At this date (April 12, 2013 - Friday), the count turned in to the Fed was already at 10 and we are only at April 15, 2013.
Unless your currency is backed by gold or silver, it’s all counterfeit. Every greenback in circulation today is counterfeit. For further information, read Murray Rothbard.
Are you always this insanely over the top grade 1 a$$hole, or was today special?
Just curious when you chose to broadside this poster?
Probably printed in Iran by the iranian government, and smuggled in over the Mexican border.
Nah, I just like to point out total BS. Princess.
That is the Federal agency to whom the bills were given. You are parsing words. Yes, the source is valid and accurate and that IS what is happening. You can name call all you want.
No, my comment is accurate. The bank used to get 1-2 counterfeit bills per year turned in to the Feds (yes, the Secret Service). This year alone, they have had about 10 counterfeit bills already. That is a pretty significant increase in anyone's book.
I don't understand why you can't understand what was written and resort to invective to reply. You style of response does not negate the logical conclusion of my accurately relayed message -- counterfeiting is UP.
LOL.
Anecdotal “evidence” is totally useless. It could be 100 branches and it would still be ridiculous.
Tighten up your tin-foil, it seems to be loose.
You post seldom and it's usually to slam someone, with self righteous crap.
I'll spend all day trading posts with you to keep you from trolling.
go find a website that will deal with your BS.
please respond. i am going to love wasting your time. Since you only post about once every 3-4 months (you were kind of busy in march/june last year), and it usually involves calling someone stupid, an idiot or such, please add me to the cc every time you post, so i can call you out.
Parsing words?
Hardly. YOU used the word “Fed” not I. No matter. You’re the one posting ridiculous, anecdotal crap as if it actually meant something.
I disagree with you, so I’m a troll?
I’m sorry that you don’t like facts. Maybe your pictures will make up for it.
You're a troll. Move along.
Nobody is disagreeing with the facts or that anecdotal garbage is just that.
You narrowed yourself down, trying to defend the indefensible.
ignore anything cognisant, if you want to, but consider anything you reply with, troll bait.
you will be treated as such, troll.
When I was revisiting SoCal a couple months ago, ran into a weird situation. Was at a Mobil On the Run Gas Station, and the guy in front of me gave the counter clerk a $100. He spent about 2 minutes looking at the bill. Then the customer got irate. And they had a verbal altercation that lasted more then a few minutes. Learned from the clerk that many counterfeits had been showing up in the So Cal area. He had just had his pay docked for taking a counterfeit. So he was not gonna take squat from any customer.
I’m still waiting for you to dispute anything I’ve said.
Diversion doesn’t count.
No dispute needed. The facts speak for themselves. 1-2 counterfeit bills last year, already 10 this year. That's an increases. It's not anecdotal; it's factual, hard evidence. Go troll somewhere else. This conversation is over.
I was in a store a while back and the guy in front of me at the register tried to use a bogus $100 to by $5 worth of goods.
The manager took one look at it, handed it back to him and said “you’ve got to be kidding”.
Fed is a generic term for any federal government agency.
You obviously don’t have any understanding of what the word “anecdotal” means.
Which leaves us with you continuing to try to maintain that an increase from 1 or 2 to 10 counterfeit bills per year actually means something in a system with at least one million counterfeit bills outstanding in the universe of about 10 billion pieces of paper circulating in the U.S.
Which brings us back to where we started: You can’t possibly be serious.
I saw an attempt to pass a counterfeit bill just a couple of nights ago.
