What Happened When The Mods Pulled My Post?
About a quart of Gin ^ | April 9 2013 | A Demented Mind

I just spent alot of time posting!

I see that, looks like you hit a small bump.

Pictured: Small Bump

What happened?
Well, someone set up us the bomb?
I'm serious!
Oh, well.. looks like your post got pulled.

Augh! I spent alot of effort on that! How did it happen?!
Couldn't be because you were doing it wrong?
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

What the, how'd you get that video of m-- uh.. I don't even wear that!
Right Skippy. *cough* Well, since you asked, here's how posts get removed.
First, if it is against TOS it gets seen.

Then it gets marked.

Okay, I have that much.
Then the mods gather:

Pictured, mods gathering.

I don't think that's how it looks, I..
Look, do you want an answer or not?
...Yes?
Right, carrying on.
Then they back their vehicle up to your post.

Whoah! What the heck is that thing?!
It's a machine, that eats other machines.
With this:

I don't see what this has to do with my post vanishing, can you tell me wha-
Watch it question boy! I have a flamethrower!

You want to vanish like your dog did?

What the?! No, not Roozer too!
To be fair, your dog WAS drunk.
What?! Who would even... please don't point that flamethrower at me.
Right, and after they saw your post off the entire forum, they set it on fire.

Wait.. that man. His face, and fire! Oh GOD WHY?!
Oh, HIS post was all about his face, so the mods set it on fire.
After that, they used the ashes to open a gate between our world and theirs, like this:

BLECH! That's horrible!
And those tentacles! GAAAH!

If you think that's bad, you should see what happens when the mods get their hands on a bad thread.

Pictured: Mod hands

Oh look, here comes a mod now.
Looks like they want to ask you about that thread you just posted.

Gaaah! Tell them I'm indisposed!

Pictured: Moderator, dunno which one.

Tell them yourself, they're right behind you.

Wait, don't run away!
We haven't gotten to what happens when they edit your thread title!

This concludes our sordid fictional tale.
If you liked that, we have plenty more in the book "Oh the horrible things you'll summon!" rumored to be written by IamnotaMod

Morning ,Joe.
Last time you mentioned our summer it became the wettest on record...or was it that i asked you for a rain dance to end the drought?
Al Gore will be watching you...:)
This is the first Bank holiday in years where it hasn’t rained. Even the Weather man commented.

I would appreciate that. At the time, I'd go off into a dream world and spend a couple of hours fiddling around with a particular concept. That one popped up by accident. I ran it past the only two gifted mathematicians I had contact with at the time. One said, "You could be right," and the other didn't respond at all. Mr. Sg said, "That can't be right but it worked in every instance that he tried it. See what I mean? Nobody listens. It's a very positive thing that I don't have valuable, innovative concepts popping into my head all the time. At least this way, the world's not missing out on anything. *big happy smile*

I was an anthro minor. It continually amazes me that people can be so disrespectful of that with which they are unfamiliar. How many people could live off the land and survive if they were suddenly plunked down into backwoods country? These people can quote the Bible, plant, hunt, grow and preserve their own food, service their machinery, fabricate parts and tools, not get eaten alive by insects or envenomated by snakes, create and play their own musical instruments, etc. I had inner urban and desert survival skills. I’ve been trying to get the hang of backwoods survival for the last five years and still don’t have it down.

P.S. There’s a country music group called Little Big Town that does a really nice song called “Boondocks.” Will attempt to locate and (ugh) post the link. It will take me forever. :)

Are you kidding? If you stood sideways, you’d disappear! (Would that it were me, too.) Good morning! The ag supply place received the food-grade diatomaceous earth shipment (50 lb. bags—yahoo!)this morning, so off we go on errands!

Redneck—that’s another thing. Pertaining to coal miners and their disputes with the powers that be.

You’re going to eat diatomaceous earth? Won’t you get “irregular”?

I went to the bank, and then to Walgreens, where I got a passport picture so I can renew my passport in case I want to leave the country. James and Vlad came along and practiced multiplication facts.

"Bank Holiday" just doesn't have the same gravitas as "Memorial Day." Do you have Bank Holiday parades and stuff?

Not really Parades, as such.
There are a large number of events organised for Bank holidays ,such as Air shows, Steam rallys ,Countryside equipment events, Pop festivals, Beer events, Boat regattas (Henley),
Gasp for breath...Village fetes, Church/School fetes.

There are a few localised 'Traditional' Parade events, some of theses date back into pre-history :Green-men, Virgins on horse back, flower parades, Antler dances, Beating the bounds of the Parish...literally.,Cheese rolling! etc.
That is a short list, Jims server couldn't cope with a full list.
Morris Dancers are everywhere this time of year.
Some of these antiquerian events can get quite boisterous.

The only national parade is Remembrance Sunday Parades.(Nov 10th this year). This is Memorial day.
Anyone with a gong, of any description, is out on Parade to the local war memorial. Followed by a Church service.
The Scouts or local Cadet forces (never both, they fight) usually lead the Parade if there is no Military in the town.
The Queen attends the Parade at the Cenotaph in Whitehall.

There is always something for most tastes.

I knew that, that’s what I meant. I should have been more specific.

Re: “the Project List...I feel so inadequate!”

I know exactly what you mean. I have so much to plant, and so little soil prepared to plant it in. I have more work to do before I can move stuff around. It’s warm, and I need to put carrot, cucumber, and white bean seeds in. If we get frost again, I can cover seedlings.
