What Happened When The Mods Pulled My Post?
About a quart of Gin ^ | April 9 2013 | A Demented Mind

I just spent alot of time posting!

I see that, looks like you hit a small bump.

Pictured: Small Bump

What happened?
Well, someone set up us the bomb?
I'm serious!
Oh, well.. looks like your post got pulled.

Augh! I spent alot of effort on that! How did it happen?!
Couldn't be because you were doing it wrong?
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

What the, how'd you get that video of m-- uh.. I don't even wear that!
Right Skippy. *cough* Well, since you asked, here's how posts get removed.
First, if it is against TOS it gets seen.

Then it gets marked.

Okay, I have that much.
Then the mods gather:

Pictured, mods gathering.

I don't think that's how it looks, I..
Look, do you want an answer or not?
...Yes?
Right, carrying on.
Then they back their vehicle up to your post.

Whoah! What the heck is that thing?!
It's a machine, that eats other machines.
With this:

I don't see what this has to do with my post vanishing, can you tell me wha-
Watch it question boy! I have a flamethrower!

You want to vanish like your dog did?

What the?! No, not Roozer too!
To be fair, your dog WAS drunk.
What?! Who would even... please don't point that flamethrower at me.
Right, and after they saw your post off the entire forum, they set it on fire.

Wait.. that man. His face, and fire! Oh GOD WHY?!
Oh, HIS post was all about his face, so the mods set it on fire.
After that, they used the ashes to open a gate between our world and theirs, like this:

BLECH! That's horrible!
And those tentacles! GAAAH!

If you think that's bad, you should see what happens when the mods get their hands on a bad thread.

Pictured: Mod hands

Oh look, here comes a mod now.
Looks like they want to ask you about that thread you just posted.

Gaaah! Tell them I'm indisposed!

Pictured: Moderator, dunno which one.

Tell them yourself, they're right behind you.

Wait, don't run away!
We haven't gotten to what happens when they edit your thread title!

This concludes our sordid fictional tale.
If you liked that, we have plenty more in the book "Oh the horrible things you'll summon!" rumored to be written by IamnotaMod

Are you OK w/respect to wildfires? Prayers up for you, too, just on general principle.

I am as OK W.R.T. wildfires as one can be in California, urban/suburban area distant from raw land, near largish open areas and a creek.

The fires so far have not caused large amounts of damage. When I was in high school and our house caught fire it didn’t make the news. It took about three months to repair the house. It burnt all of my sister track trophies and yearbooks. These things can’t be replace most of the time. This is what I would thing is the worst part of the loss in a fire. We had this ugly orange carpet in the dining room kitchen family room area. The kind you had to keep raked. It was really high quality stuff and wouldn’t wear out. My mom was happy to get it replaced, but I couldn’t draw pictures in it anymore. I think this is why I never became a professional artist. That and I am very good at drawing straight lines with a ruler. I was pretty good with a compass but french curves were a little challenging. It just goes down hill from there. The bank had told our insurance company that we had asked to cancel the insurance. Some how the bank got things straighten out really fast. ( to avoid criminal charges I guess) My dad was in Vietnam and was happy to get the house repaired quickly.

Thankfully, I’ve never been through that trauma. I’m sorry that you and your family had to suffer because of it. Prayers continuing....

That is good to hear. However, prayers up anyway. (One cannot be too careful.) Good night, sweet dreams, stay safe, and see y’all in the A.M.

It’s not really her birthday - that was March 30. It’s just her party! We’ve been running about all week getting supplies together.

It's a bit of a challenge to be THE North American nation when we are only 10% of the US population.

Stephen Harper always punches above his weight, and while he doesn't start fights people with people, but he always finishes them. The Liberals nearly ran our country into the ground. It's still happening here in Ontario. :-(

Who is Steven Wright?

Now, if his page had said he’s unifying the Canadians (especially the French) into a single, powerful culture, THAT would be impressive.

Yes, or if he could part the Red Sea, or make gold from lead.
The French - English divide is much deeper than you can imagine. No one will be able to bring us together.

I’m too cold for lemonade ... but that reminds me, I need to put our 3-gal beverage dispenser in the van to take to Sally’s party, which is at her friend Maria’s house because Maria is allergic to cats, which is ironic because it’s a cat-themed party!

LOL!

I saw a hugh lemonade/drink dispenser with a spigot at Deseret Book in SLC, and I had the hongries for it! It was square and held about 2.5 gallons, and had that old fashioned rippled glass.

Of course, I have no place for it... :o|

We’re only four days into May, and already, I wish the month were over.

Halla is still very ill, and Salamander is trying to raise enough money for an MRI for her. It’s $1800, and she would appreciate any help she can get in the way of prayers, solace for her worry over the puppy, and financing Halla’s diagnosis and treatment.

How about it, Nully? Cough it up for our favorite tough-gal in black.

I would love to contribute, but there is nothing I can do this month. I will pray that the money comes when it is needed. From somewhere...
