How I spent Earth Day: I changed by oil. I dumped the old oil in the storm drain. Then I installed a new battery in my truck. I threw the old battery in the creek. Then I burned a pile of scrap pressure treated wood using an old set of mud tires to get it started. Last I cut down a hollow tree were a pair of spotted owls were nesting. Then I made a pot of spotted owl-snail darter gumbo yum, yum.
I read that as, motivational spokesperson.
I often see outfits in green. I’ll try to get to The Salvation Army next Wednesday for half-price day. We need more costumes at the church, anyway.

She was an awesome lady, clever and talented and very, very in touch with herself and her life/children/role in the wide spectrum of things.
I just had the unwelcome task of telling my siblings (one of whom was married to her) and that was very difficult for me to do with grace.

She was my cousin before she was my sister-in-law, but after everything else, she was my friend. I believe I mentioned the brother who married her...

I dug up, (un-earthed), a few old barrels of Agent Orange that I had buried for a rainy day and gave a free lawn treatment to every house that had a car with an Obama sticker on a car.

Then I turned on every light in the house and turned one HVAC unit to heat to 78 and the other to cool to 62.
