All that from a peanutbutter(anjelly)sammich?
Yes, I lived there, from 2001 to 2004. Not my idea of a fun place, but it seems someone there “needed” me, so I went. I didn’t like the place, but it was where I could do the most good.
I never did get into Ciudad Acuna, nor did I visit the winery.
See? I knew that. ;o]
Hi, there!
I found a new 2012 GTI for about 3 grand less than a new 2013, so I will probably get that. It’s white and it has all the possible amenities including a sunroof.
White isn’t my favorite color, but for $3,000 less I will live with it.
If I get my housing allowance in before the end of May I will buy the GTI then. That’s really all I’m waiting for. I have the required down payment in the bank now that my tax return has come in. I just need the housing allowance every month to make the payment I want.
I’m probably going to get a USAA loan to make it easier to make payments underway and so on.
Just make sure you can meet all the costs! A 2012 should be a good buy.
Akeem, I think.
White isn't my favorite color either, but it's my favorite vehicle color. White keeps the solar heat at bay, diverts attention from the law, and is usefully nondescript.
One day, a visitor asked in some surprise, while taking in the number of vehicles parked in my driveway, "Are all these vehicles yours?"
"Only the white ones," I replied.
Not basketball. “Bubba” Smith.
The athletically gifted 6’ 7” Charles Aaron “Bubba” Smith played defensive end / defensive tackle for the National Football League’s Baltimore Colts (1967-1971), Oakland Raiders (1973-1974), and Houston Oilers (1975-1976). After the conclusion of his football career, Smith moved into a TV & film career...

From IMDB, by the way.
Note that birth date.
YES! I knew someone would know that! Thanks, Bob!
I was trying not to note the birthdate, Bob, espicially since I got hit on by a taxi driver last night who was younger than my youngest child. I broke his anticipatory heart when I told him I had just become a great-grandma!
And just now, one of my neighbors told me I wasn’t old enough to be a gg-ma because I “didn’t have wrinkle” on my face! LOL!
Tell ‘em, TC...the wrinkles are THERE!
[face stuck in computer screen, raises hand, waves]
As an erstwhile science fiction writer, I think long on what extending the human lifespan will mean.
It doesn’t mean wrinkles.
Just as an example: A twelve-year old boy, with his smooth skin and noticeable peach-fuzz, represents about six generations of ‘possums. Those huge marsupial wood rats age and die off with astonishing rapidity.
Waving back...
By the way, did you know I was a great-gramma, as of April 13th?
As for ‘possums, I think they are over-rated. For wood rats.
I’ve always had to do the math when it comes to my age. When putting it on paper, I have to think of when I was born and figure it out...I’ve NEVER believed I was any particular age: Just MY age! LOL!
WOO-HOO!
Congratulations! I knew it was coming, but I’ve not been on FR much at all since last Friday. Everyone’s healthy, I presume?
As far as I know. Baby Elena had to be delivered by C-Section, but for now, the dad is home and helping to care for mom and baby. I’ve volunteered my services to help, but I don’t know when they will want me. In the meantime, I’m DYING to hold that little bundle that is straight from Heaven!
(She was born on Saturday, the 13...the same date as my first grandchild, her uncle. It is awesome to be able to remember them both on the same day!)
“I was Cesarean born.
You can’t really tell.
Although...
...whenever I leave a house I go out through a window.”
— Steven Wright, Comedian
LOL!
If it worked for Ceasar, it will work for Elena! She may be more like her dad than we know!
