What Happened When The Mods Pulled My Post?
About a quart of Gin ^ | April 9 2013 | A Demented Mind

I just spent alot of time posting!

I see that, looks like you hit a small bump.

Pictured: Small Bump

What happened?
Well, someone set up us the bomb?
I'm serious!
Oh, well.. looks like your post got pulled.

Augh! I spent alot of effort on that! How did it happen?!
Couldn't be because you were doing it wrong?
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

What the, how'd you get that video of m-- uh.. I don't even wear that!
Right Skippy. *cough* Well, since you asked, here's how posts get removed.
First, if it is against TOS it gets seen.

Then it gets marked.

Okay, I have that much.
Then the mods gather:

Pictured, mods gathering.

I don't think that's how it looks, I..
Look, do you want an answer or not?
...Yes?
Right, carrying on.
Then they back their vehicle up to your post.

Whoah! What the heck is that thing?!
It's a machine, that eats other machines.
With this:

I don't see what this has to do with my post vanishing, can you tell me wha-
Watch it question boy! I have a flamethrower!

You want to vanish like your dog did?

What the?! No, not Roozer too!
To be fair, your dog WAS drunk.
What?! Who would even... please don't point that flamethrower at me.
Right, and after they saw your post off the entire forum, they set it on fire.

Wait.. that man. His face, and fire! Oh GOD WHY?!
Oh, HIS post was all about his face, so the mods set it on fire.
After that, they used the ashes to open a gate between our world and theirs, like this:

BLECH! That's horrible!
And those tentacles! GAAAH!

If you think that's bad, you should see what happens when the mods get their hands on a bad thread.

Pictured: Mod hands

Oh look, here comes a mod now.
Looks like they want to ask you about that thread you just posted.

Gaaah! Tell them I'm indisposed!

Pictured: Moderator, dunno which one.

Tell them yourself, they're right behind you.

Wait, don't run away!
We haven't gotten to what happens when they edit your thread title!

This concludes our sordid fictional tale.
If you liked that, we have plenty more in the book "Oh the horrible things you'll summon!" rumored to be written by IamnotaMod

Do you really think they save that much money when you consider carting all those people all those extra miles using all that extra fuel? I’d want to get flown to Disneyland gratis for what they charge for those flights, especially the last-minute emergent ones. (I knew it—the 1700 grumpies starting—gotta stop posting.)

Good night and sweet dreams, y’all!

"I’ll be driving down either into the night on the 31st or in the daytime on the 1st, depending on how I feel about it."

I feel compelled to remind you that this month, April, will have only thirty days.

If you are speaking of a month other than this month ... never mind.

You could try boarding her at the veterinarians. You do have a vet, right?

If you drive on the 31st, you’d have to stop here, because we don’t have the rental house until the 1st. It would probably be best if you planned to arrive in Myrtle Beach on the Saturday evening, the 1st.

You’re welcome. Difficult to be anyone else, although I wouldn’t mind being Judi Dench ;-).

I love different kinds of soap. I’m always interested in your posts about making it.

I planned to make a stop to give the car a break for a few hours, but we’ll see. It would depend on how long I end up being at work on Friday.
I like driving at night though so I might come down on the afternoon/evening of Friday anyway. The roads will be emptier and it will be much faster than in the daytime especially around DC and through Fredricksburg where the traffic is always a mess.

I thought about renting a car for the week but there isn’t any good places to do that around here with good cars. I was going to rent a BMW.

If you arrived in MB before Saturday afternoon, you could lounge on the beach.

That’s a 12-hour drive. I’d have to leave here at 3 in the morning.

I meant if you drove part of Friday night, stopped somewhere, and then completed the trip, you might reach MB before we can go in the house.

I’ll drive my own car down there of course, in case there’s an emergency and I have to leave again suddenly. The worst that could happen is we all leave at the same time and I get there before everyone else, which is likely, in which case I am sure there is a bar somewhere in the vicinity.

There is a bar. We have something over a 3 hour drive, so we will probably leave here noonish on the Saturday.

I will probably end up driving down on Friday afternoon and leaving at the same time then.
You’ll be able to put things in the Neon and not have to cram the van full since I travel with one bag and a gun in the backseat.

We have a cat trying to colonize us. Jake likes him and keeps inviting him to come inside, but I spray him with water. He looks sick, and the last thing we need is our cats exposed to something they haven’t been vaccinated for.

The other night I took part of a cheezburger and put it on the neighbors’ sidewalk for him, but he doesn’t seem to have gotten the message.

Piper keeps all the other animals away. She’s a single dog.

Watches.
I am death to them usually.
Mechanical watches tend to do odd things around me.
Digital watches sometimes run out of battery rapidly, even with brand new fresh manufacture batteries.
Casio watches seem most able to survive me.
