Back in the 80s I had a supervisor who was Italian. We all called him Tony for some reason as that was not his name.

I once had an investigation of a woman who was from Napoli. She really looked classy and carried herself well. She was also attractive even at around 45. When I mentioned her to my supervisor he said that women from Naples had a bad reputation despite the one I met. My supervisor was originally from Brescia.

Italians were particularly tribal. At one point my father moved my mother to an Italian neighborhood, not realizing that Tuscans did not talk to the more southern Italians residing there.

Crazy.
