Christopher Dorner Shootout - Cops say "Burn It Down"
youtube ^

Posted on 02/13/2013 5:33:38 AM PST by Morgana

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNk-bV40XMc&feature=youtu.be

From KCal 9 News around 1:30 PM PST - Sorry, I don't own a PVC so I had to use my phone. I have this footage saved on my DVR.

Edit: To address comments: No, I did not edit this. This is recorded with my cellphone. This was recorded by reporter Carter Evans. It is not radio chatter that is being heard. He says earlier in the broadcast, (which I can also upload) that he is speaking to them via his speakerphone on the ground from the middle of the shootout, and the cops can also be heard telling him "get the f*** out of here pal". The timestamp of this event is ~1:35pm.

I’m not jumping to the conclusion that he was executed, either.

For starters, all the screaming about burning him out is just that. Screaming. Were these men giving orders or blowing off steam? I suspect the latter. Dorner had opportunities to surrender, but instead murdered another leo and wounded another.

The guy was dangerous and informed of police tactics. Once nightfall came, he might have escaped again. He didn’t have to shoot himself or burn alive. He could have surrendered when the fire started, but that seems to be conveniently forgotten here.

Yep. I could care less about Dorner and he’s met his Maker now. What Is important is rule of law which was put in place for situations such as this.

*IF* the reports of deliberately burning down the cabin are true, Due Process was being eliminated. And we are walking a thin line to tyranny. Those who forget the past are bound to repeat it. Obama wants a civilian army just a large and powerful as the military.

“How Did Ordinary Germans Become Hitler’s Murderers in Nazi Germany?”

“Only a few days after Police Battalion 101 arrived in the Lublin District in Poland in November 2, 1943, their job, both in the Erntefest and in the Final Solution as a whole, was complete. From the beginning of their participation in the Nazi slaughter of Polish Jews in Jozefow on July 13, 1942, Police Battalion evolved from a fickle group of men who were too old for service in the military to cold-blooded killers who had a hand in the deaths of at least 83,000 war victims. [1] In just over a year, these so-called “ordinary men” had, for one reason or another, become an integral part of the Holocaust...”

(snip)”...This pressure came from the men themselves. Browning argues that one of the biggest factors that had the men of Battalion 101 participating in the Holocaust was the pressure of conformity. [11] The men were more worried about fitting in with their comrades and shouldering their part of the unsavory load than they were with upsetting anyone in a position of authority over them. Propaganda, Browning argues, was also a big part in how these men were transformed from sickened men with visible regret to murderous weapons of Himmler...”

Idiot. He was a human being with rights that was executed by the police. When they come for you I for one will not care.

Almost 30 years ago I was in Philadelphia when the cops dropped a bomb on the MOVE house and burned over 60 row houses down. Several black children when burned to death with the adults the cops where after. I can barely find images on the web when I look for them.

That's right. That's exactly what happened.

The buildings at Waco caught fire, too.

It seems a common outcome in these sorts of cases.

“A benefit that they were located in Texas?”

More than likely it was.

In June of 1992, I had provided the US Attorney’s office in Houston with info on corruption within the FBI here in Texas and how the FBI at the local field offices were covering up official corruption involving police. I didn’t know it at the time but it also involved corruption with the ATF.

To provide cover for themselves, it was the FBI that had put the ATF on my tail in the late 80’s.

Anyone ever tells you they don’t mind the govt ease dropping on them or following them because they haven’t done anything wrong is a complete idiot.

These same people would be the first to come unhinged if a govt agent followed them everywhere they went.

“BUT” did Dorner have the chance to walk out once the fire started? Or did “HE” choose to commit suicide by shooting himself or burning alive? I don’t see anything tyrannical about forcing a murderer out of a building through fire.

Then every jumper off a bridge would be left to jump. This is sloppy police work at best and tyranny at worse. And since when can the government deliberately burn down private property? Regardless of the reasoning.

P.S. Welcome to FR.:)

So long as they aren’t in a position to kick in my door at 4:00AM with a dozen their co workers wearing black ski masks and body armor to give me a hair cut, I’m okay with them having scissors. Plus if I shoot a gang of barbers breaking into my house, they aren’t allowed to burn me and anyone else inside alive.

The cops executed Dorner plain and simple. The LAPD SWAT team was on site and entered the area. There is clear proof on youtube and on radio scanner sites that they deliberately burned the cabin down.

Like I said when they come for you I will not care. Dorner was still a US citizen and was entitled to a trial. He was not an animal, he was an alleged murderer. Our troops in the wars in the the ME have more strigent ROE’s than the cops. Think about that. We value Muslim lives more than US Citizens. The LAPD should hang it’s head in shame - but they won’t. They used to have a motto of “Protect and serve”. Now apparently it’s slash and burn.

I saw video of a small helicopter with a 55 gallon drum sized device suspended below it which was taken during the Ruby Ridge siege, and alleged to be something they were going to drop on the cabin like the device dropped on the building the M.O.V.E. were in in Philly. (The M.O.V.E. bunch did get burned out along with most of the block).

They burned the farmhouse Gordon Kahl was allegedly taking refuge in in Arkansas.

Waco has already been mentioned.

There are others.

Burning the building has become SOP.

Who needs lynch mobs?

I don’t see anything tyrannical about forcing a murderer out of a building through fire.

From the 5th Amendment:

...nor deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law;...

Someone owned the building. They were deprived of property.

Given the choice of burning to death or walking out into a hail of gunfire, which would you choose?

Before you answer, remember over 70 Branch Davivians were terrified of the snipers and tanks outside and burned to death instead of stepping out through a hole in the wall (where they could). (as told by one of the survivors, Clive Doyle)

It wasn't even as if they had besieged the place for a couple of months--this was "payback" pure and simple--a lynch mob hiding behind badges.

The only reasons I can see that you don't object is that it wasn't your house, and you weren't inside.

So how do you KNOW the person inside shot anyone?

Because you saw it on TV, and they can't put anything on TV that isn't true?

It turned out to be impossible to capture him without loosing another cop or two most likely. I’m sure there are some parents, wives and kids that are satisfied by the outcome of this psycho. I didn’t see any bleeding heart civilians volunteering to mediate a solution other than Charlie Sheen (Call me).

I clicked on your name and went to take a look at in forum link so i could respond properly. I have decided it’s a good idea to know even if just a little the person to whom one is responding.
My proper response to you is i don’t really trust cops to do the right thing. There’s a whole bunch or “Them” and “Us” in their outlook.
My improper response is i see you asking the same stupid question over and over as if that proves some sort of point while you defend the police. Were they giving orders? Were they blowing off steam?
I don’t know and could care less to play your little game. What i do know is they said it and then it burned down. There you have it. Nothing else matters. Now take your junior lawyer card and annoy somebody else.

There are people here will argue the police side reflexively and will never attempt to see things in any other light.

And with the number of laws on the books, they could tag you for probably at least 10 without you even knowing that you DID anything wrong....
