I don’t think a verbal contract of 5 million is valid in most states. But, Trump should make Maher pay whatever the maximum allowed in the in the state of Eww Yuck.

Take him to court over it.

Sue for defamation of character.

Bankrupt the SOB

As to buying the NT Times I think that would be delicious.

Rupert Murdoc would probably like it because he would no longer be the left’s punching bag

Sounds like Maher is what we used to call an Indian giver in my childhood. I’m unsure what inoffensive term has replaced it.

Out of curiosity, I just checked it at Dictionary.com, but they don’t offer any alternative:

Nothing will really change except the cover will be made of artificial fibers and it would refer to itself more.

Good or Bad ?

Hah....it would be fun just watching the liberals heads literally explode...

Though if he did... I do not think it would change drastically....after all he would need to keep his liberal readers..Which are the vast majority of paying customers.

It would be a slight move to the center...

There was even a hit song in the late ‘60s called “Indian Giver.” Can’t recall who recorded it though.

Trump and Rush are friends. I'd like to see Rush as an investor.

Wouldn't that just drive the leftist, anti-capitalism bunch wild?

It would be interesting.

Trump has demonstrated that he has no well-formed ideology -- just a conflicting set of shifting beliefs that, once in a while, sound vaguely conservative. Rather like Bill O'Reilly.

All that said, I'd looooove to see it happen.

If the times won’t sell, Trump should buy the newsprint suppliers in a 200 mile radius.

Go to a newsagent, pay $2.50

Do rich people have to have everything about ordinary life explained to them?

When two institutions as full of themselves as Trump and the Times join up, what happens to all the self-importance and pretensions and delusions of grandeur?

Do they add together or subtract from each other? Or multiply into something of gigantic proportions.

It's not going to happen but it would be a lot of fun if it did. It might make a good movie, but by the time it comes out, younger viewers will wonder just what newspapers were.

why on Earth would anyone buy a newspaper, and a controversial one at that....talk about a dead issue, might as well but a covered wagon factory. Your newspaper basically tells you everything that happened yesterday.. Other that a very local paper, so you know who died and who got married, and get to see a picture of your grandson playing football, “national” type papers are obsolete...

Maybe he should start his own paper: The Trump Times and print all he wants. Maybe a news magazine to compete with Time Magazine?

Paper is dying. Look at Newsweek and US News. A website would be a better idea.

If Trump still has the money, that is. Sometimes he's been broke and living off hot air.

But beware: some people thought CNN would be a conservative network when Ted Turner started it in the 80s because Turner was a Southerner who didn't live in NY or LA.

These things don't always work out the way people think they will. See also the complaints about Murdoch and Fox News.
