Could happen but I think sympathy vote, perceived cutie, vote will save him
Is that still in play? I was so hoping the 12 year old chickie vote was obsolete this year and not knock out the pretty girls.
i think the best girls ( to me ) Kree, Janelle, Candice, are safe. Amber maybe not so.
Lazarus.... is protected by this group to make sure he’s the last Man ??? standing.
I also like the rothstein guy. He is excellent. Also the chalkie guy.
They are the most principled amongst the unprincipled :) ;)
Oh I know! She thinks shes being all chummy and cutesy but its really coming across sort of passive aggressive...
I agree with both of you, and now that you mention it, I bet she is using those nicknames to put them in their place a little. Most of these kids can actually sing (Minaj can't, as far as I know). She's threatened by their talent, particularly the girls who threaten her with their natural good looks too. She put down Kree and Janelle last night in very backhanded ways.
My take on tonight:
Candace - was wonderful. Honest, great voice, she did change it and make it her own, and she was having fun. She made me happy.
R-r-r-r-Ricky Ricardo - pitchy, dawg. It may have been one of his best performances. Which isnt saying much. He is a cute little Ricky, but hes bottom 3. Bottom 1.
Country blondie - she was perfect. She came up with that arrangement when she was 14? Amazing. Great voice, great song choice, fantastic version.
Bristles - he sang pretty well. Liked it.
Burned-in Eyebrows Taylor - as Simon would say, Utterly forgettable. Whiny. Stevie Wonder rolled over in his bed.
Angie Osmond - ugh. Hated it. The song is supposed to be sung in a rueful mood. Its a many times burned older person telling a young in love fool to hold on. Its not a song where you smile incessantly and strut your stuff. Her voice is fine but she was so fake and so showy and not genuine tonight. Her hair bugs the crap out of me. Its like a curly mullet. Or like a full head of hair with one of Michelle Obamas old wigs on top of it. Ad the teeth: they jut out like the grill on a Buick la Salle.
Amber - ok, I confess to having been a huge Stevie fan. And I love the song she chose. I love the way she sung it, too. She didnt ruin it and that means something.
Kree - I wasnt really listening. Rewound again. Still forgot to listen. Does that say anything? I guess she wasnt very exciting. Normally I like her.
I think its time for Ricky to say (you know this is coming) Th th th thats All, folks!
Watch out you could be the newest judge next year.....
Hi, Jonny!
I am missing this week because Hubs and I are getting some sand, sun, and SCUBA this week. Internet is spotty here, so I will have to read your witty banter when we return!
EVERYONE, have a BLESSED Resurrection Day!! HE IS RISEN!!!
Oh yeah, everyone goes to extremes in season 3. Nucky is just a full one jerk 98% of the time. The acting is excellent. You can go from feeling sympathy for someone and then two scenes laters being disgusted by that same person. The best example I can think of is when Gretchen Mol told the story of how the Commodore raped her when she was 12 or 13 years old. Then two episodes later we were all like, “Oh Jimmy, NOOOOOOOO! That’s your mom!!!”
I like Chalkie, too. No one does a slow burn better then that guy. The guy who plays Dun Purnsley is such a ham I’d be surprised if he didn’t sneeze bacon.
The actor who plays Eli was great this past season. His character was so different from the first two seasons, but in a believable way. He really seemed like someone who went to jail and became more reflective.
Richard is still my favorite character though. I just about died the first time I heard him speak with is actual voice. He’s British and the grandson of John Huston and nephew of Anjelica.
The song is called “Lately” and it’s by Stevie Wonder. Amber’s performance was easily the best of the year. It was a star-making moment. Astonishingly emotional, genuine and beautiful. Not bad for a farm gal.
I am a bit early for Sunday but that being said.......
“He is risen INDEED!” :-) Blessed Easter to you and yours and safe travels!!
OH...and if, while on your scuba trip, you see a dead in the water Carnival Cruise liner...see if you can hear an American Idol former contestant warbling on the Lido deck! :-)
Agree! Kree was fantastic...so at ease and professional.
Janelle is beautiful, poised, and has great pipes.
Candace can really rock the Motown sound.
If Devin goes, can he take his little poodle Lazaro with him?
Minaj—a living Bratz doll! Good one!
Now here is something you will NEVER hear on American Idol.....Ryan Seacrest saying “Christian Music TONIGHT on American Idol!!!!!!!” Minaj would erupt in flames at the mere thought of it! To say nothing of the TINkerbell dance troupe that is always on standby for any guest “performer”.
So light I'm surprised he hasn't floated away.
Good evening, Didi!
LOL!
I am WAY WAY WAY past of the queer agenda being shoved at me as being “COOL” and “Accdeptable”...as I said on the Levin thead...GOD is merciful, but there is a line even GOD will not permit His people to cross......I refer the audience to the old testament story of Sodom and Gomorrah!!
(Forgive me for pontificationg, but our country is going to crap at flank speed, and I am personally offended that this queer agenda horsechit is the TOP headline during HOLY WEEK!
To cover up the suck.
Exactly.
I wish I could take credit for it, but I stole it from some gossip blog, I think.
lol :)
LOL!
