Clay was probably first, but he didn’t come out until long after his stint on Idol. I recall a contestant several seasons back who’d worked as a stripper at male strip clubs. There was another real flamer, can’t think of his name right now, but he looked like Jessica Alba. So there have been quite a few.

Last year we had "Mantasia", Joshua something. I think he was straight at least.
But the year before we had "Geraldine". "Look in the mirror, America!" Jacob--that was his name. It might be Jackie by now, lol.
