MSNBC talk show host Lawrence ODonnell took aim at the Bible on his broadcast The Last Word this week, claiming that it has no place at the upcoming inauguration of Barack Obama.
In discussing the matter, ODonnell began to claim that no one believes the Bible, and that it has no business in being a part of the Inauguration.
Following his comments, which have been reported by major news outlets nationwide, a number of Christians have expressed their disgust and disapproval.
[W]hat he says is almost amusing if it werent so sick, wrote one commenter.
Lets not forget ODonnell did not voice opposition to Keith Ellison for taking his oath on the Quran, another remarked. But using the Bible should be avoided?

Bizarre is the only word I can think of to describe it.
At least he is telling the truth about the 2 major Parties and especially the Communists.
Pray for America
Some day, Lawrence O’Donnell will stand before God and find out what The Last Word really is. Our duty is to spread the gospel. If someone like this refuses it, we shake the dust off our sandals and move on. He thinks that he’s hurting us by saying these stupid things. As Mr T would say, “I pity the fool.”
Complete, utter, ignoramous!
He attended St. Sebastian’s Catholic School...
...obviously still has some ‘the nuns were mean to me’ issues.
What would Jesus say?

I don’t know this guy, but talk about arrogant. HE doesn’t believe the Bible, so naturally no one else does.
He may have an unintended point about the Bible having no business in being a part of Obama’s inauguration. I think it is an insult to God, to His Word, and to all people of faith to use it to inaugurate this man into the office of the presidency.
“Mein Kampf” or “Das Kapital” is much more appropriate. But, I guess the charade is still needed - for awhile. And, who knows, maybe O’Donnell already knows that Obama is going to use something else and this is his way of putting it out there.
Some people will say or do anything to try and get a boost in their ratings. He can hide behind the 1st amendment but God will still find him.
>> ODonnell began to claim that no one believes the Bible
Guess that makes me a “no-one”. That’s OK... Jesus loves me.
Quite so! Its amazing that an entire industry is devoid of Christians and non-socialists, and no one screams discrimination. Think of it, 70% of Americans self-identify as Christians, but only 7% of those in the media. How is it possible to create a subset so disparate unless systemic selection based upon religion is involved? Likewise, who in the media is pro-gun, anti-abortion, opposed to the welfare state, etc.?
Some Christian group should file a class action discrimination suit to force the media to represent other worldviews
They obviously did not beat him hard enough!
1 Cor. 1:18 & 19 “ For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:
I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
Rom. 1:21-23 “ because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible manand birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
Some day Lawrence will be face to face with his maker. Good luck.
Doesn’t this pathetic man have any other way to get attention?
If the nuns were mean to him, good for the nuns.
Lawrence ODonnell does not believe the Bible . . . therefore no one believes the Bible.
O’Donnell’s mind is a waste of some perfectly useful meat ~ he should start giving it all up to somebody who can use the parts.
It takes an act of faith to not believe in the Bible.
Attention harlot, because he’s otherwise irrelevant.
