Russian PM not joking – extraterrestrials live among us according to MIB documentary

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev’s off-air comments that Russian Presidents are given a secret file about extraterrestrials living among us created much media interest. Most news reports claimed that Medvedev was simply joking. His apparent reference to the Men In Black movie as a source of information on a super secret agency that monitors extraterrestrials on Earth was commonly cited as key evidence that he was in fact joking. The reasoning is that no political leader would refer reporters to a comedy to clarify national policy. It has now emerged that Medvedev was not referring to the Men in Black comedy after all, but to a recent Russian television documentary titled “Men in Black” that reveals many details about an extensive cover up of extraterrestrial life visiting Earth.

However, a more accurate translation of what Medvedev actually said about the Men in Black phenomenon was: “You can receive more detailed information having watched the documentary film of the same name.” So Medvedev was referring to a Russian “documentary film” titled Men in Black, not the Hollywood blockbuster by the same name...

Russian Men In Black (MIB) documentary, a number of prominent UFO cases in Russia and the USA are discussed. The Roswell UFO crash is covered, along with a number of extraterrestrial abduction cases, and UFOs disabling nuclear weapons facilities. The documentary examines testimony that extraterrestrial bases have been established on Earth, and that some are in restricted US military areas with the full knowledge of the Pentagon. The documentary even goes on to seriously discuss President Eisenhower’s alleged meeting with extraterrestrials, where agreements were reached with some of the visitors giving them permission to take some of the Earth’s resources in exchange for advanced technology...

I plan on keeping it until I get bored most likely.
The thing with being in the military is that I make more money than I know what to do with and I am about to get more in a few months when I hit my 4-year mark.

Have fun.

I make more money than I know what to do with...

Look into rental property.

I used to work with a guy from Fiji who landed in the U.S. with just $3000 to his name. He got a job, rented a room, and took what was left and bought a small "share" in a plain-vanilla 8-plex apartment. You've seen the kind: a nondescript, two-story box with for apartments upstairs, and four down.

The guy worked whatever jobs he could get for whatever wage he could negotiate, and lived like a Buddhist monk, but was gradually able to buy into greater and greater shares of the apartment. At some point, he moved into one of his units, while continuing to draw rent from the others he held stake in.

At the time I met him, he'd been in-country for five years, and had just bought a regular house, which he had moved into, and was working on with the intent to "flip" it within a year or less. He held stake in most of the apartment building in which he originally invested. It's a "budget" apartment building, which means he gets some seedy tenants, but mostly things go well, and he's continually building, and building his assets.

The guy was single, at the time, had no family to look out for, and only his own mouth to feed, so he could afford a fairly stiff risk profile. And, he didn't have a big career feeding his bank account; he was working jobs that paid only about $10 to $15 an hour.

It's just all about how patient you can be, and what you're willing to accept in terms of risk. For him -- even if there were a catastrophe and he last the whole apartment building -- he had a job to keep him fed, and could always go rent a room somewhere and begin again.

I will mail your W-2 and your 1099 tomorrow, which is Friday. You could sell your stock that’s paying the $19.95 per quarter dividend.

Ah, boredom - the problem of youth... ;-)

Just for something to stick in the back of your head for future reference - my Jetta TDI has 470k on it... ;-)

Which is probably the big reason I recommend one.

You might check Consumer Reports at the library. The reports aren’t as reliable as they used to be w/reference to home appliances because, according to our repair persons, the appliances are constructed w/built-in obsolescence that’s even shorter than it used to be. Not certain re: automotive. However, you might be interested in checking NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety) for information on recalls for specific brands and models.

But even if it can handle bends, have you checked to see if it is susceptible to nitrogen narcosis?

Would suspicion that is not the particular rapture you are looking for... ;-)

Got it. Prayers up for an incredibly restful night’s sleep for you and for all concerned (iirc, they’re less cranky as the day wears on if they’re well rested).

LOL!

The wheels and tires are kewl, but mine doesn’t have a convertible top.

Actually, what I really need, since I live in Sin City, is a locking gas cap. I’d even PAY for one! ;o]

Had feelings of impending doom when I saw the “steak”. Clicked on the link, saw the lentils and thought, “Yay, I’m saved!” Then, saw “flank steak” and “thinly slice” (against the grain, of course), and started visualizing marinades. Thank you!

They are at regular intervals all around the coast, thankfully.

Before I purchase a car I like to find one in traffic and give it a good, solid rear-ending. You gotta know if it can protect you from the idiots on the road.

I try to follow-up with the driver after about a month to see how he/she is holding up. One good way to make sure they tell you is to hold off on the insurance settlement.

Locking gas caps are cool, but I like the little sticker to put above the gas cap that says, “Warning, I am a trained sniper and occasionally watch my car. Maybe I’m not watching now. Go ahead, make my day.”

It hasn't been the same since I loaned it to Dr. Banner for some kind of experiment he was working on.
