I remember being asked, What do you want to be when you grow up? The correct answer is, of course, "Why would I want to grow up?"
That's still the one I use.

I want to shoehorn a poem in here:
Just BE in The Vine.
I was talking about this very thing with one of my best friends last week. Im just about to the point of subscribing to the idea that, if Id JUST BE in The Vine; if Id JUST focus on First Commandment, First Place, if Id just REMAIN, to use Jesus verb from John 15 then all of the DOING I invest (waste?) so much time trying to make happen would be Divinely re-ordered, and the things that REALLY need to get done would actually flow naturally (and peacefully) out of my relationship to God, instead of being this forced mass of chaos that I keep cobbled together all over my mental calendar.
Here In Gods Garden
Im here in Gods garden. I have my own place,
The good feelings it gives me, please! Never erase!
Not part of the flowers, nor am I a weed,
Im less than a raindrop, but more than a seed.
Im doing a job here, I know it is true,
I hold my position, as Ive learned how to do.
I stand near to this wall, holding dirt at the base,
Prepared for the morning, and warmth that I face.
A rock in Gods garden, neither beauty nor waste,
But witness to miracles, I am blessed to be placed.
Over here near the wall, theres a rise to the land,
I can see a good distance, and I like what Hes planned.
Ive seen plantings and harvests, and beauty and tears,
Id be happy to stay here for many more years,
But I go where Im sent, and I do what I must,
I can skip over oceans, for in God do I trust.

In that context, Matthew 6:33 looms large on the page: "Focus on The Kingdom of God as you FIRST priority, and all of the temporal things you really need will come to you in due course."

That condition is caused by 'Scotch mist' not English 'Sunshine'.Scotch mist... ok, got it. Definitely not to be confused with Scotch Bonnet...
And it is the English rain that is responsible for suntans... (or so one noted Expert with an MBE tells us..)
Sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun.
If the sun don't come, you get a tan
From standing in the English rain.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus
Or more correctly, HAD an MBE...

OK, Face. It’s my honor to have you as my honorary sis. *HUG*
Thanks for the kind wishes, nti!
No baby yet, but today the doctor told her she will probably have the baby in the next 24-36 hours. She’s already 2cm. (Sorry if that is TMI for the guys.) And she got a beautiful picture of his face when she had her ultrasound today.

Why would I want to grow up?Why, indeed...
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head — Christ —
16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
— Eph. 4:11-16 NKJV
1 Therefore let us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ (the Messiah), advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity.
— Heb. 6:1 AMP
And not forgetting to properly acknowledge this instruction:
15 Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive and accept and welcome the kingdom of God like a little child [does] positively shall not enter it at all.
— Mark 10:15 AMP
For we here recognize that the directive is that we must accept The Kingdom in childLIKE — not childISH — fashion, which ability has no discord with growing up to maturity.

Maybe the whole point is to let yourself flow to where the Creator wants you to be. Maybe, “How may I best serve?”

[APPLAUSE] VERY well done, Sir. Well done, indeed.
Your excellent contribution advances the discourse in furtherance of our mutual edification, for no lesser a light than St. Peter has, himself, addressed your same subject:
4 Come to Him [then, to that] Living Stone which men tried and threw away, but which is chosen [and] precious in Gods sight.
5 [Come] and, like living stones, be yourselves built [into] a spiritual house, for a holy (dedicated, consecrated) priesthood, to offer up [those] spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.
6 For thus it stands in Scripture [ref. Is. 28:16]: Behold, I am laying in Zion a chosen (honored), precious chief Cornerstone, and he who believes in Him [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] shall never be disappointed or put to shame.
— II Peter 2:4-6 AMP
And so the metaphor of a stone also undergirds (as a foundation) our prior themes: of being (for a stone has no busyness; it simply is); and of maturity (for in a stone we find that which is "older than the hills").

already 2cm. (Sorry if that is TMI for the guys.) Not To Much Information, but you need to know that guys handle this information a bit differently.. To females it's a stage in the process. To guys, 2 centimeters is just a hair bigger than a 3/4 inch wrench.. (or DEFA rounds if you're military - or so I'm told..)

I have a flip side.
"And so the metaphor of a stone also undergirds (as a foundation) our prior themes: of being (for a stone has no busyness; it simply is); and of maturity (for in a stone we find that which is "older than the hills")."
I found this message a while ago.
Written In Stone
How is it you haven't read, then,
The notes that were carefully placed,
In layers of sedimentary rock,
So they wouldn't be simply erased?
My other stone writing you noted.
I guess brevity counts with you now,
It used to be any message,
Was like manna from Heaven somehow.
But before, you were watching the heavens,
And now you seem glued to that "set",
Which perhaps was a gift from Lucifer,
I haven't decided quite yet.
In any case I left some scribblings,
That I'd just jotted down on the fly,
As I puttered around in my Garden,
While a few million ages crept by.
Like flowers pressed between pages,
Impressions of things that once were,
Were cast in the layers of future rock,
And baked in the way that they stir.
A simmering, bubbling cauldron,
If your scale of observing is such,
That a million years is the blink of an eye,
And some things need a delicate touch.
Now you may think those notes are of failures,
Being things that I tried and put by,
But remember that all of them did once live,
Ere they came to that place where they'd die.
They succeeded in terms of getting along,
With the challenges they had to face,
Remarkable, really, that out of such wood,
I whittled the whole human race.
Now, off you go with your studies,
Don't think it's an open-book test!
This place that you think is a garden,
Is a prison for all but the best.
