I have often wondered what preferences of beverages the various Freepers have, in particular, the kind of intoxicating liquors they tried to ban back in 1920. I know by reading stories on here that many of us consume intoxicating liquors from time to time and we may even have some Freepers who have accumulated some POIs over the years (posting under the influence). Obviously, don't post your favorite intoxicating liquor if you do not want to, but I just thought it would be interesting to see our beverage choices. Especially the morning after many of us quite possibly overindulged on same the night before...wait, is it afternoon already? Darn. Having breakfast at 1PM always throws me off my game.
If you don't drink intoxicating liquors at all, feel free to tell us what beverages you do drink. Milk, apple juice, sarsaparilla? Your reply might be boring to us but let us know anyhow if you feel so inclined to share.
In response to all the other nutty threads here today seeking personal information on Freepers, I am 50, have brown hair, hazel eyes, weigh 225 pounds and I prefer female company. My waist size is 40, my shoe size is 12 and yes, I do need to keep an eye on my blood pressure. I own a dog, a cat and no, I do not snore. As for intoxicating liquors, I prefer madeira wine, Samuel Adams seasonals, Frangelico hazelnut liqueur, 100% agave tequila and the occasional bottle of champagne. But preferably not all together at the same time as what happened last night. As of this moment my favorite beverage is Gatorade.

I don’t even think of posting here until I’m intoxicated.
Whew. Thought I was the only one.
Scotch. Johnny Red.
But I always keep a six-pack of IBC Root Beer in the fridge. For swallowing pills...
Bourbon. Neat.
Excellent choice - my husband’s favorite.
Mine is single malt scotch.
Johnny Walker Black...rocks.
Saranac Pale Ale.
Arnold Palmer Half and Half w/ green Chartreuse.
Bacardi Dark Rum and Coke.
So my drink of choice remains what I've enjoyed since I was kid growing up in the 1940's:
When Ralph Parker decodes the "Little Orphan Annie" message, it's my cue to pour another glass. It's really good stuff and definitely outclasses Nestle's Quik IMHO.
Milo’s Sweet Tea & Milo’s Unsweet Tea mixed half & half.
Just the Genny ? Not the Cream Ale?
Vodka, club soda, ice. Nice.
Yeah, I liked that Genny beer too.
Now I have this taste for Laphroaig single malt scotch whisky.
Tis smooooth stuff.
Drank a lot of “Screamers” in HS in North Central PA. 12 Horse Ale as well.
I know others liked it, but I could never stand it. Didn’t taste like beer. Of course, many would say the same for Genny itself ;)
Other favorites - Propel at the gym. Water anytime. Just plain tap water - not bottled, not rainwater (ie. Gen. Ripper's drink ;-) )...
{shuddering}
Had a bad experience with Gin when I was still a teen (mother was a big fan of it)... even the smell of the stuff makes me gag :/
Fort Rochester kept sending the little brown soldiers, only to be met with fierce opposition. And we killed off many...yet more would come.
Such was the legacy of the Beer Wars. Many a good liver gave its’ all for the cause at the pristine waters of the Genessee River....
OK, maybe not ‘;quite’ pristine, but still. ;)
1. Virgil’s Root Beer
2. Switch Black Cherry or Grape
3. Santa Cruz Apricot Mango
4. R W Knudsen grape juice
My favorite spirit is Old Overholt Straight Rye Whiskey.
My favorite beer is Dos Equis Amber Lager.
My favorite wine is Taylor’s Tawny Port.
