HOUSE REPUBLICANS CIRCULATE PLAN TO OUST BOEHNER FROM SPEAKERSHIP
Brietbart ^ | 12,21,2012 | MATTHEW BOYLE

Posted on 12/21/2012 6:34:07 PM PST by HenryArmitage

Several conservative House Republican members are contemplating a plan to unseat Speaker John Boehner from his position on January 3, Breitbart News has exclusively learned. Staffers have compiled a detailed action plan that, if executed, could make this a reality. The Republicans, both conservatives and more establishment members alike, are emboldened after the failure of Boehner’s fiscal cliff “Plan B” on Thursday evening. Dissatisfaction with Boehner is growing in the House Republican conference, but until now there hasn’t been a clear path forward.

Maybe we should start emailing our congress critters? One of the many reasons I love this idea, aside from Congressman COL Ret. West is if he is the speaker and is unelected, he has no reason to worry about his next election.

Just random thoughts on a Friday evening after a few glasses of a very nice red while sitting by the fire with my sleeping pups close by.....

God is good!

"As one hill staffer considering this path told Breitbart News, the members involved in an unsuccessful coup d’etat would be “toast.”"

Uh, the GOPe is already toast, they just don't know it yet.

“Of course 201 Dems can vote for Boener,”

Thought about that one too, the Dummycraps will vote for Boner just for spite. Anything that is for the GOP, they will obviously vote against.

No republicans voted for the ObamaCare. It passed in 2009/2010 with only democrats. The House was controlled by the democrats then. Many of the republicans have forgotten that the republicans were rewarded by the tea party with newly-elected House control in 2010. They say elephants have a very good memory, which makes me realize that the top brass of the party are NOT republicans, but truly rhinos! when Saxby Chambliss, one of my two senators, publicly stated he would support tax hikes, I wrote and told him I would work very hard to make sure he lost in his next primary race.

What has John done that is so wrong, that is a thankless job and I think he has done as good a job as could be done considering who he has to work with like Reid and Obama. His job is to try to bring things together for a vote or consensus , I don't know of anyone in the House that could do a better job. How about giving John a pat on the back instead of always giving him a kick in the pants. If you are so sure he has been a bad leader, why don't you run, get elected, and take the job>>>>////.../????

Why do people keep bringing up West?

He lost.

Or did I miss something.

I don’t think it is a requirement to be a Congressman to be Speaker of the House.

It does not explicitly state that the Speaker of the House has to be a member of the house. As such some would like to see West get a crack at it.

It’s not. But it has NEVER happened and this time will not be the first time that it does happen.

I think that I read recently - probably here on FR - that the Speaker of the House does not need to be and elected representative...if that is true, then draft Newt Gingrich. He’s got baggage, but I don’t think obama will buffalo him too much.

If I’m wrong on the requirements, someone please correct me
