Infections of the kidney, bladder and urethra happen in uncircumcised baby boys at ten times the rate of circumcised boys, and over a lifetime, uncircumcised men are four times more likely to experience one, according to a new analysis of past research.
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are most common in boys first year of life, and circumcision was already known to make a difference in their risk, but how much and whether that carried through to adulthood was unclear, Australian researchers say.
They found that circumcision provides considerable protection and over the lifespan makes about a three- to four-fold difference by our prediction, which is quite striking in public health terms, lead study author Brian Morris, professor of molecular medical science at the Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney, told Reuters Health.

That is simply disturbing, another reason to own guns in my opinion
Yup.
Is that even legal?
That incident happen(ed/s) in America. I don’t know what happened to those involved subsequently.
Since you are using emotionally-charged language, I doubt your sincerity, and having seen several articles on the matter (biased and unbiased), my accusation stands.
Your accusation stands indeed, right by the public dumpster where it belongs.
“Emotionally charged language” LOL!
I mopped the floor here with your emotional senti-culty, by presenting factual arguments. It’s just that you haven’t realised it yet. Some neurons transmit slower, so I won’t blame you.
Please stop trying to turn this place into DU.
And cut out the overt antisemitism.
The NYDN posts overtly-antisemitic stories with great frequency. They are particularly anti-Orthodox. Only liberals take them at face value.
Nice try, but no sale. Your desperation is showing.
As for NYDN:

Three Rabbis Sue City over Metzitzah Bpeh
Published on October 12, 2012

A lawsuit filed Thursday by Jewish organizations and three rabbis argues that a new NY City rule requiring parental consent for metzitzah bpeh, a post-circumcision ritual that involves oral suction in order to stimulate blood flow in the traumatized organ, violates the First Amendment, the NY Daily News reports.
The new rule, which take effect Oct. 21, requires mohels who perform the metzitzah bpeh to provide parents with a document they must sign, containing information about the health risks involved.
City officials say babies may contract herpes from the practice, and they cite 11 cases between 2004 and 2011, including two fatalities.
The lawsuit argues that the new rule violates the constitutional freedom of religion.
Government cannot compel the transmission of messages that the speaker does not want to express especially when the speaker is operating in an area of heightened First Amendment protection, such as a religious ritual, the lawsuit argues.
City officials said they are planning to fight the suit vigorously.
The citys highest obligation is to protect its children; therefore, it is important that parents know the risks associated with the practice, Health Commissioner Thomas Farley said.
So... NYDN or not, metzitzah bpeh is not a made-up story, but an actual religious practice. And don’t tell me next that the Jewish Press is anti-Semitic.
If you don’t see me replying to any subsequent comment from you, it’s because you made another idiotic comment that I won’t waste my time to compose a response. It will help in further weakening your case so don’t hold yourself back!
:^)
Sounds pedo-like to me
If the myth of circumcision improving longevity of sexual intercourse by elimination of a large area of innervated tissue had any basis in truth, condoms would be marketed for increased thickness, rather than the opposite, which is what prevails - thinner condoms.
The lies that the medical community will go on to propagate to improve revenues is staggering, and the men who’ve suffered through this mutilation have no idea of their loss. Quacks out to fleece the fools, and the latter get into denial because the realisation of their loss is harder to bear.
BTW, he contracted the viral infection from his MOTHER, who had a cold sore. SHE testified in this and the anti-circumcision nazi’s didn’t listen. They were out to get the moyle.
Yea, like that was the only incident, and as if it makes the act of a mohel orally sucking the mutilated penis of an infant all fine and dandy.
THAT is not a real MOTHER.
When my son was cut *I* died. I swear, I’m still traumatized. He doesn’t care or remember a thing.
When I talk about it, he rolls his eyes. If it weren’t necessary to his having a covenant with G-d, I wouldn’t have done it.
No true mother can stand to see her child in pain. That is sick.
You are speaking of an ancient practice that led to fewer infections for infants, men and the women that they later married.
Back when the practice of filling the mohel’s mouth with wine and covering the freshly circumcised penis with that wine was first done, humanity had no knowledge of bacteria. The mohel was giving the infant an antibiotic covering over the fresh wound. We didn’t know why it worked, but it did. If the mohel performed his duties well, the child wouldn’t become infected.
Anti-semites have perverted the practice. Made it sound like some sort of child molestation.
It’s not. It’s sanitation.
Now, in my mind, there is no reason for anyone but a Jew to do this. If others want to follow the example, fine. But our ways have proven sound for three thousand years and work for US. There are many more traditions that have have proven protection for our health in the long run, in addition to this one.
“If the myth of circumcision improving longevity of sexual intercourse by elimination of a large area of innervated tissue had any basis in truth, condoms would be marketed for increased thickness, rather than the opposite, which is what prevails - thinner condoms.”
Oh, please. There are condoms with NUMBING AGENTS advertized to make a man last longer.
Condoms with numbing agents are all but unknown, and nowhere near as popular as condoms that are made as thin as possible to IMPROVE sensitivity. Go to a random store and find out your odds of being able to obtain the aforementioned lidocaine-laced condoms. Also check why men avoid condoms in the first place.
The only testimony that matters is that from adults who have undergone circumcision post-sexual experience and their reporting decreasd sexual satisfaction is near unanimous, which has resulted in another lucrative surgical procedure called “reverse circumcision”.
The market speaks truths that are not manipulable, unlike subjective opinions.
Why don't you call for the stoning to death of those who disobey the "laws" of your cult as in Deutoronomy, for the sake of intellectual honesty? The Torah is "forever", after all, and doesn't it call for stoning-to-death punishments for several mundane acts? If you can disobey these, then why not the circumcision requirements? Why this selective application of the Torah? Also call for animal sacrifices while at it. Because, otherwise, you are picking and choosing tenets of your religion to your satisfaction...
