"KILL BILL!", "KILL BILL!", AND "KILL BILL!"

For story line, for photography, and for action. A true opera, larger than life.

Theme song:

Bang! Bang!

I was five and he was six
We rode on horses made of sticks
He wore black and I wore white
He would always win the fight

Bang! Bang! He shot me down
Bang! Bang! I hit the ground
Bang! Bang! That awful sound
Bang! Bang! My baby shot be down

Seasons came and change the time
When I grew up I called him mine
He would always laugh and say
'Member when we used to play' Bang! Bang! I shot you down
Bang! Bang! You hit the ground
Bang! Bang! That awful sound
Bang! Bang! I used to shoot you down

Music played and people sang
Just for me the church bells rang
Now he's gone I don't know why
And till this day sometimes I cry
He didn't even say goodbye
He didn't take the time to lie

Bang! Bang! He shot me down
Bang! Bang! I hit the ground
Bang! Bang! That awful sound
Bang! Bang! My baby shot me down

Obviously I am in good (geezer?) company with you guys and your choices.

Agree with them 100%. Bridge over the River Kwai has been etched in my head for decades. Unforgettable, as is Bullit.

Suspect our tastes in music might be similar, though I be so hard of hearing these days that it is not so much fun.

In the book they point out that Sobel attempts suicide and he failed in it. He died in 1988.

Dunno what "classy tous risks" was, but to Live and Die in LA was a stuntmans' wet dream, all staged. Great flick regardless.

A real car chase would be Bullit, real cars, real streets, real drivers. Ok, some stunts tossed in, but you know what I mean about the difference.

The “Sand Pebbles” (Steve McQueen). And Katherine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart in “The African Queen”. “Zulu”.

I tried reading one of those Bourne books, but dropped it after the first chapter. Who knew the F-4 Phantom was a single seat fighter?

The author is an idiot that imagines himself another Tom Clancy, but is a military hardware ignoramus. Unfortunately he is too stupid to stay away from that.

Unforgivable sin if you fancy yourself a thriller writer in that genre. I have ignored all the same movies from that source for the same reason, that Damon fool's liberal BS just helped me ignore them.

I believe T2 is the best scifi movie ever made. Creative with a well written script that seldom let you rest in your seat. The chase scenes were not overdone, like in the Bourne movies and the latest Bond flick.

I also like movies that get to the point. Bambi and Godzilla definitely had a good, short plot! LOL

Bro', you got an insane memory, or that list was pre-prepared..........

Naked Prey...Remember watching that in the base theater at MCAS El Toro mid 60's. Never knew the racial tension that must have been going on. The negros all cheered when the spears flew after what's-his-name, then all the white guys cheered when he tossed one back and nailed a native. Weird stuff.
