t's official: The state of New York does not believe in Bigfoot.
The Department of Environmental Conservation has politely rejected a citizens call for the state to develop regulations banning the hunting of Bigfoot, aka Sasquatch.
The simple truth of the matter is that there is no such animal anywhere in the world, the agencys chief wildlife biologist Gordon Batcheller wrote, responding to the request by Peter Wiemer, of upstate Maywood. I am sorry to disappoint you.
The official added, No program or action in relation to mythical animals is warranted.
The New York Bigfoot question began in July, when Wiemer, the creator of the Chautauqua Lake Bigfoot Expo, officially requested protections for the creature.
In its initial response, the DEC said that Big Foot was not covered by its hunting regulations because the agency did not recognize Bigfoots existence.
But the agency went on to say that the absence of regulations would protect Bigfoot should one turn up.
Because it is not addressed, there is no open season on Bigfoot and they may not be taken, a regional wildflife manager wrote, seemingly tongue in cheek.

But I thought that the great state of New York determined that there WAS a Santa Claus - ?
I know its true ‘cause I saw it in a movie.
.....as William Frawley nods in approval.
Which must mean Bigfoots do exist.
Bo Bo worries me as he shows symptoms of a person who has been raped by a Gay Bigfoot.
Great! LOL!
Hmmm...Looks like they spilled the
Rogaine.
I think I saw someone trying to sell a jacket like that on TV at Detroits Hard Core Pawn they offered 100 for a fox she said it was mink,,,
thats not bigfoot, big a$$ and big mouth maybe
“Gooony Goo Goo.”
Maybe if Bigfoot got a letter of reference from Santa?
She would be quite ill-proportioned and might topple over if her big-a$$ and big-mouth did not fit her big-feet.
