Think about it. This election was purely about domestic issues, never heard anyone say voting for Romney because he has bad @ss foreign policy. Sadly, Romney did not win his own state with Obama taking 61% of MA votes.
1. Republican Nominates the riches person ever to run for President who couldn't connect with middle and lower class.
2. A flip flopper no one really sure his position. He was a serial candidate who changed as often as the wind blew. Even Goofus Rick Perry had him talking in circles.
3. Would never give details about his grand plan only to refer you to his website for information.
4. Would cut federal spending only to reveal the cuts after elected. Another way of saying I am not going to lie to you but once elected I will hammer you and your grandmother, no thanks I'll pass.
5. With a serious face propose Eliminating Big Bird after being pressured on the proposed cuts. Something two drunks sitting around fireplace would say only to wake up the next morning laughing at the thought. Only stupid candidates go after children programs during elections.
I could go on and on but you get the point, Republicans nominated the worst candidate available. Even Ron Paul could have won this election. Surely is not about Republicans having the wrong platform its about Republicans nominated the weakest candidate. The only good out of this, Romney will never run again and 2016 is a sure Republican bet since voters will experience miserable eight years of failed Obama policy.
So you would have preferred Obama.... That's why Romney lost. Too many Republicans preferred Obama over him as well, so they didn't vote. Romney wasn't my first choice but I would have voted for Ronald McDonald over Obama. To me, any conservative who didn't vote against Obama, the Islamic communist, is the one who's loony tunes.
“The rule-changes, the refusal to seat delegates, the bus incident, the teleprompter incident (all at the national convention) all indicate how much he was pushed, as do the incidents where the Ron Paul supporters using the stated rules for the primaries lawyered in wins only for the rules to be retroactively changed...”
At a convenion, when you yank the Party away from the base by using illegally called vote results, the base is going to revolt and they did and I don’t blame them. At some point in earlier months before the convention, Romney said he didn’t need to bother with the base, that he needed the independents. He ended up losing and so will the next RINO the GOPe brings the next time and I fear it will be Jeb Bush.
This time in 2008 the same swan song: "Give people four years of Obama and we'll have a lock on 2012."
The reality is that this level of observation ignores the democrats' four years of infrastructure, infiltrating the country like a cancer, through the social media. It now is known, that they never let their campaign apparatus of 2008 falter a single step.
They had offices in all swing states, over a hundred in Ohio alone, operating six days a week since 2008 to identify and register voters, coddle them along with the song and dance emails, the grandiose bill of goods, and the Starbucks coupons, and making sure they got them to the polls as early as possible, so they could go back and get more sheep and carry them to the polls, rinse and repeat. The GOP was asleep at the wheel. Again. Thinking they didn't have to do anything until the last year or so.
This why there were so few obama lawn signs out, why Obama seemed so placid and unperturbed, and why the rats made so little noise--by the time Romney finally won the nomination, the election results were already baked in.
And it had nothing to do with Romney as a candidate. Given the same inept party beltway plutocracy, Ronald Reagan would have gotten his butt kicked just as badly.
Crawl back in your hole. Paulistas make me sick
Go Mourdock.
Mourdock wasn’t ready for prime time.
Anybody that listened to Limbaugh from January on knew the Dems inspired the Journ0list to publicize the “war on women”.
How could a major candidate not be ready to debate on that issue?
We traded an 80% Republican for a 97% Baraqqi - for 6 long years.
Yech, put my name in now: I'd be better than Jeb.
That would include Libertarian/Republican Ron Paul, Democrat/Republican lawyer Virgil Goode, not to mention Democrat/Republican Ronald Reagan.
This article is PROOF that Radical Paulistineans really do have a sense of humor!!
Let’s disspell that myth, once and for all!
LOL only Bush can get away with it because you can laugh with him. No one laugh when Perry did it.

Ron Paul would have crushed Obama......like a bug....
OK.....taking off my Paulbot tin foil hat....
I would not vote for Ron Paul either. It was an extreme example for illustration purpose.
Come on it not a suggestion. It was illustration purpose only and to so show “almost” anyone could be Obama.
I would no vote Ron Paul for a garbage collector job.
This is a rant thread. I have high regard for you RL. Please tell me what qualities Romney lack that voters turned away. Can you do this without ranting on Obama since we all know about him.
Yeah if counting his wife money from inheritance event that may not be true since it maybe locked up in divorce protected trust accounts.
Ok but did you know its been over 20 years since America (including Russia) had a test fire. Even then America two of the last test (modified for safety) were unsuccessful. The reality is America has no assurance they will properly work if needed.
Nuclear weapons are only used as propaganda tool for the less informed. Why do you think Israel is saber rattling over Iran. Israel is not sure their weapons are ready and able. Israel has never test fired nuclear weapons so “officially” they don’t exist.
Before you call Ron Paul a “worthless piece of filth” maybe you should direct that language to our elected officials for lacking the nuclear “READY and ABLE” ability to protect us.
Thanks I appreciate it. Just trying to air out the problems so we can figure out what went wrong. I walked passed two African American guys today and they were high fiving saying “we control this” and the other responded “this meant a lot to me”.
My first thought was....Mayan End Times Prophecy December 21, 2012 is true but it happen on November 6, 2012.
I am getting some furious feedback. The oddest thing to me is they still defending Romney. When Romney was leading late in the polls many were calling for him to shut up... to keep from screwing it up. A true example of no confidence in Romney and the desperation to beat Obama. My point about Ron Paul is ANY candidate in the Republican debate could have done better than Romney.
