I like her, but don’t like her chances of ever becoming president. My guess is Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush and a few others will battle it out. Rubio will be VERY hard to beat. Not only due to his good looks, charm, and speaking abilities, but also his appeal to a much-needed demographic that we lost in a big way last night. Palin appeals to Tea Partyers, but not many others.
The bottom line is that her persona has been too effectively distorted by the opposition and it would be almost impossible to overcome that.

Do you seriously think there will be elections in 2016? I hate to break it to you but Obama will rule by executive order and declare himself dictator for life.

That ship set sail a long time ago. And you won't have Dick Nixon to kick around any more, either. How did that turn out?
Two years is a long time. Palin has just as much chance as anyone, and probably more than most, of putting together a capable and effective campaign in time for the 2016 primaries.

Sarah’s time came and went.
If she where to run it would have been this year.
I don’t think she is interested.

The women who put Barack back in office think she is her SNL caricature. Not gonna happen.

Really?
You think all those people that just voted for Obama would turn around and vote for Sarah Palin?
To: Mr. K
We won the married women but lost the Sandra Flukes by a lesbian mile.
To: Mr. K
People of low morals and character, are going to vote for people of low morals and character...period. "Birds of a feather...", and all that nonsense.
I knew we were headed downhill when the hippies and flower children in the 60's started protesting for "a better way of life", generated mostly from pot-soaked brains and spoiled children's mentality.
Sarah took a few wrong turns - can't say that I blame her on most of them - but she should have never consented to run with John McCan't. She should never have resigned as Governor of Alaska.
The Tea Party had the left flumoxed in 2010 because it was a citizen movement, with no de facto leader for them to try to destroy, then, along came Sarah (and others) assuming de facto leadership, and the hammer came down on the TPM.
I love Sarah, but I'm afraid her time has passed. I don't even see FOX news using her much any more. We'll probably see less and less of her as time goes on and America goes down.
I'm sure she would make a hell of a President, but first, she would have to be elected by this convoluted citizenry we now have, and that will never happen.
The female electorate is full of Sandra Flukes now, tattooed ho's only interested in their next hit and their next lay, so there are no Palin votes there.
Conservatism, and America as "Pleasantville" is pretty much history now. It's become a dumbed-down nation of takers, and with a second term from obama the borders will start leaking even more, and it won't all be Mexicans.
The United Nations will slowly assume power and we'll have tanks rolling in the streets. The IRS and other government agencies have bought thousands of guns, and millions of rounds of ammo - quite telling for agencies that are supposed to "serve" the people.
The blacks have achieved the "revenge" they have sought for so long, but they really don't have a clue what they've created, and this time, they won't have whitey to blame.

Queen Bee syndrome. All of the libtard womyn at my office hate her. She’d lose the women’s vote more the Romney did. Hell, she actually put her pro-choice convictions to the test - much to the horror of the left.

I suspect, as 2016 draws near, Palin will tease the idea of running long enough to sell more books, get on more TV shows & make more money giving speeches only to eventually not run. Just like 2012.

You think all those people that just voted for Obama would turn around and vote for Sarah Palin? Right. Impossible!
I mean, it's just like all of those people who voted for JFK and LBJ would never turn around and vote for Nixon.
Or all of those Carter voters switching to Reagan.
Or the Clinton voters going with GWB.
None of that ever happened, so why should it happen in 4 years! All trends continue indefinitely, no matter what happens!
I swear, this place is so full of quitters and whiners I barely know why I bother to come here any more. And, by the way, you can plug in anyone else's name instead of Palin, and read the response the same way. By the "logic" espoused by some here, the only way to beat the Democrats would be to run someone just like them, because that's what the public wants. But history shows us that a clear and contrasting difference can indeed win. Note in all of my three cases above, the GOP winner also achieved re-election.

Shes as loopy as Biden. I'm in no mood to argue with any conservative today, but that is just a flat-out ignorant statement.

She quit. Not just her governorship, but when she had her shot at the brass ring... she declined.
We need someone else. We need a new Party.
Myopic delusion isn't going to help.

What makes you think she'd get the women's vote? My gut tells me she would be a disaster of a candidate but I don't know. I'm pretty much cynical on any Republican ever winning the presidency. We are a dependent nation. Promise them free cell phones--that is the ticket to the WH.
It's probably a case of upping the ante on how many freebies to promise.

She quit. Not just her governorship, but when she had her shot at the brass ring... she declined. Nixon left government after losing the VP race for private law practice. He managed to come back, win, and win re-election.
Myopia is taking the media memes as gospel and forgetting that 2-4 years is a much longer time than it might otherwise seem. Myopia is closing off options before they're even explored.
Saying "don't rule out things just because of the way things are this second" isn't myopia, nor delusion, but a simple statement of fact.

Two things. First:
Sarah Palin has pretty young daughters. Those two daughters will not be so young next time. My thought is for whatever reason she backed off for her daughters because of their youth. A good reason.
I believe Palin may be back for the next one. That said, it is very important for her future election to make it clear soon.
Second:
Romney had he not been Mormon, would have won.
Just saying.

If you are banking on another “Nixon” to ride to the GOP’s rescue... YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.
