The MSM and the Re-pubic party decided who our candidate would be
Welcome now to Nuevo Greece. Turn your money into gold and bury it
Move to a deep constitutional state and secede.
The America I grew up in is GONE.
We’ve asked, “How did the German people let Hitler happen?”
Now we know.
As of today, we are living in a tyranny. It will be an executive order here and an executive order there - from now on. So, plan your personal affairs accordingly.
“Maybe it’s time to give it up and retire overseas.”
Where? Canada? That’s where liberals want to go when republicans win. And crappy 3rd world countries will become even crappier once America gives up its power. Al qaeda will quickly take over.
It’s early in the morning after a restless night’s sleep.
I’m making a list of things to do to fix this house and get it sold, to begin.
Energy and food costs are going to rise.
Time to downscale and get ready to live on less.
We just lost our country to an ignorant horde, courtesy of a corrupt MSM, and our K-12 indoctrination centers.
Start taking social security while it is still “there”. I’m 58 and 62 looks a long way off..like a carrot in front of me
It is going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better in any meaningful way. Remember these times well for your grandchildren, if you live long enough to see them mature enough to understand what you’re telling them. The death panels may get us first.
I’m 66 and just posted on another thread that I am through with the political process. I have played by the rules, voted in every election since I was 21, and realize now we can never win, since rules and law don’t matter anymore. Let’s face it, Soros has finally won, the new world order will be set in place, so there really is no place to run. I know I sound like a defeatist, and I am normally an optimistic person, but I see the writing on the wall, and it ain’t good.
Friend, this is not meant to be a personal insult, even though it might sound like one.
Are you willing to give up your government checks? e.g. your military retirement, and your coming social security/medicare?
Of course not.
But that’s the problem. Too many people get government checks and too little economic activity occurs to pay for it all.
It’s not until your and every other government check recipient stops getting their checks that we have a chance of turning things around. That’s what it will take.
I hope you see my larger point and do not take this personally.
I’m cashing in my 401K before they take it - damn the penalties - I (we) won’t make it another 4 years - let alone 11 years (to “retirement”)br>
Need to kick up the “preps” a few notches - hunker down - find like-minded (Christian) Preppers.br>
Told the wife it is time for her to get a “carry” permit - things will start to get very dangerous (lawless - think Detroit or Newark - only over the whole country).br>
There will not be a Presidential election in 2016 - this was our last chance - not a pessimist - just a realist.
HELLO!—Aaaaaaaaaaaaany body home?
McCain got 60M votes last time.
RINORomney got 56M.
Conservatives stayed HOME.
Sarah would have won in a walk.
Israel of old was given wicked rulers when they abandoned God and spurned His way for them. It probably cannot be proved, but I doubt that their sins included the slaughter of 50,000,000 of their own children.
There have been two specific times in my life when I had great hope that our rush to destruction could be halted. First was in the late 1980’s when thousands heroically were jailed for blockading abortion mills. The church wilted when the gov’t came with RICO.
The second was 9/11. I had hope that the shock and horror of the attack on our soil would drive us to an examination of our national spiritual condition. Even Abe Lincoln called for prayer and fasting after his Union army suffered defeat.
That, of course did not happen in 2000.
It’s a bad situation - no doubt; but we can’t say we have not been warned by history. See tagline. (It’s from a Dylan song)
Damn, I just got a new home after living 3 years in a horrible, spider-infested, moldy basement! I got it for a good deal, so as long as I keep my job, I can keep the house, but... I don’t want to move to any other country. I guess I just have to keep my head down and prep like I never prepped before. Just be frugal. I can handle myself, but I so worry about my children and the world that most inevitably will develop once they’re older. I feel so protective, I’d rather they just stay close and not go out there and become targets of leftist engineering. I’m a horrible person, I don’t even have a gun. I should have had a gun, a few guns at this point in my life for protection. I can just sense what’s coming.... Rambling. Couldn’t sleep.
Keep working. The parasites are depending on us.
Gonna head out to Home Depot to buy some 6” diameter lengths of PVC pipe and some caps....
in case I have to hide my guns underground from the UN inspectors....
I hear ya. My friends and I spent the 1990’s trying to elect a government in our city that would do something about the high crime and taxes that are driving people out of the city. A huge number of city voters do not pay taxes, and receive government benefits, and, I suspect, are either criminals themselves, or are related to criminals, and have no desire for effective law enforcement.
Five years ago, my wife and I got tired of waking up to nearby drive-by shootings, and we moved out of the city. I still have my business in the city, and if I could sell this building, I’d move my business out of the city.
We also were involved in trying to get people elected to state and national office who would value freedom. We failed there, even in electing W.
We can’t yet afford to retire, and the proverb about not being able to control the wind, but we can adjust our sails, applies. We cannot worry about what we cannot control, only our behavior and our response. We have to look ahead and look to what we can control, and how to make the best of it.
I suspect that there will be a lot of John Galt responses, and there are a lot of ways we can do that. Many businesses have already done that by refusing to invest in expansion until there is some predictability in taxes and regulations. They may stay on strike for the forseeable future.
I’m looking for expansion. I have an accounting firm, My job is to legally deprive the government of every dime to which it is not legally entitled. I intend to profit from the voters’ stupidity.
