Here is what I have been waiting for everyone! History repeating itself. The long gas lines of Jimmah Carter are not the gas lines of Obozo! Only with obozo they are fighting over the gas! I never thought I'd wish for Carter instead.

It appears the MSM’s Obamagasms over the handling of Sandy’s aftermath may have been premature.

Can’t Obama just airlift some solar panels in there to make everything good again?

Look what is happening right before your eyes and take heed.

You either prepare and stand on your own beholden to no one or you become dependent on others to provide your basic needs and become thier ‘serf’. Me I don’t want to be beholden to anyone for providing what is needed for me and mine. I certainly don’t want to have to kiss some ‘gubberment’ third class bureaucratic to try and coax some help from them, I don’t want some ‘jack booted’ thug herding me in line and telling me where to stand, sit, eat or sleep. And last but not least I don’t want to be shut up in with a bunch of ‘zombies’ and have to worry about not only trying to get basic necessities but having to fight to keep what I manage to get.

Its your choice you can prep or you can stand around on a bridge waiting for FEMA to bring you a bottle of water, a MRE, a warm banklet and a kiss for your boo-boo and maybe you can even get your picture as you stand there on the national news.

For those who are just starting or are old hands at prepping you may find my Preparedness Manual helpfull. You can download it at:

http://tomeaker.com/kart/Preparedness1j.pdf

NOTE! THIS IS A FREE DOWNLOAD. I DO NOT MAKE ONE CENT OFF MY PREPAREDNESS MANUAL!

For those of you who haven’t started already it’s time to prepare almost past time maybe. You needed to be stocking up on food guns, ammo, basic household supplies like soap, papergoods, cleaning supplies, good sturdy clothes including extra socks, underwear and extra shoes and boots, a extra couple changes of oil and filters for your car, tools, things you buy everyday start buying two and put one up.

As the LDS say “When the emergency is upon us the time for preparedness has past.”

Or as the bible says: A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
NIV Proverbs 22:3

“There is no greater disaster than to underestimate danger.
Underestimation can be fatal.”

Of course those Chevy Volt owners are just zipping around laughing at the folks in the gas lines right?

In before someone post about how preppers’ supplies would be all washed away.

There are far more homes unflooded, but with people with no power and no way to get anywhere than there are flooded homes. Most likely 9 to 1 or better. Now if each of the homes that are unflooded just cut off and with no power, water, communications, supplies, medical care, etc... have prepped how much less a strain will it be logistically on first responders? Wouldn’t being able to take care of yourself and your family and not needing help ease their burden and leave more for those that truly need it?

It not just the preppers themselves, if you have stuff you can help. If you have power you might not be able to power other’s homes, but you can charge batteries and electronics for them. If you have a way to cook you can cook a pot luck for your neighbors. And it’s not just about STUFF!

i am in NY- westchester county...presently at my gym which is like a refugee camp for people with no electric or hot water...we’ve been out since Tuesday and they are now saying we won’t be back until next weekend...hoping to get a generator for, amongst other things, being on Freep Tuesday night...

1) no electric in my house and the weather is going down into the 30’s tonight...sent my daughter and wife to the inlaws while i stay at home...house is like an ice box....

2) people are already starting to go crazy over the slow response to get electric back up and running...tomorrow i will be putting protest signs against Con Ed up on the telephone pole...

3) Con Ed (utility company) guy came to our road where the problem was this afternoon, sat in his car for an hour, then left doing nothing...unions at their finest...

4) drove home tonight looking for a gas station...I found one open in White Plains and the line was at least a mile/hour long...cops had to be called there in the afternoon to regain control of a bad situation...people already fighting....heard of one incident in Putnam county where two young guys spit on an older guy over who got to the pump first then the older guy decked one of the guys...

4) while i found just one gas station open at least 8 others in the White Plains area were pitch black or had signs which read “no gas”...its a sad situation thats going to get worse...

this is going to blow up in obama’s face- the situation will get worse before it gets better....i’m going to get something to eat- assuming i can find a restaurant, then go home, start a fire and try and get through the night...

Hang in there, hope everything works out. Please note that getting power back with all those trees down can take longer then the current estimates.

understand...the tree that knocked out out electric on the road is in a precarious position on a rather heavily trafficed road....a big pine tree thats fallen in such a way where the branches stick out into on coming traffic around a blind corner thats now pitch black...i’ve witnessed two cars hit the branches...disaster waiting to happen...we and four other neighbors called Con Ed and the police about it Wednesday....tree people came today, took a look then left...

Prayers are sent to you and yours, FRiend. This reminds me of what we went through with Ike. Our power was out for three weeks!! Kids and I headed to San Antonio, while hubby stayed behind - without A/C - in 95 degree heat. Gas and diesel were no where to be found.

We've since invested in a generator!

If anything that comes out of hurricane Sandy or hurricane Katrina is the PROOF that liberals are dependent on big government.

Rain washed ruts in the dirt lane and the lights went off for about 15 hours.

Thank God for Coleman, propane...and propane accessories.
