understand...the tree that knocked out out electric on the road is in a precarious position on a rather heavily trafficed road....a big pine tree thats fallen in such a way where the branches stick out into on coming traffic around a blind corner thats now pitch black...i’ve witnessed two cars hit the branches...disaster waiting to happen...we and four other neighbors called Con Ed and the police about it Wednesday....tree people came today, took a look then left...
My how times have changed.
When we had downed trees in the road back when I was young, several men in the neighborhood would show up with chainsaws and remove the problem, assuming it was safe from any downed hot power lines.
